"Perfect" as written by Tom Shapiro, Sara Evans and Tony / Martin....
If you don't take me to Paris
On a lover's getaway
It's all right
It's all right
If I'd rather wear your T-shirt
Than a sexy negligee
It's all right
It's all right
Every dinner doesn't have to be candlelit
It's kinda nice to know that it doesn't have to be

[Chorus]
Perfect
Baby every little piece
Of the puzzle doesn't always fit
Perfectly
Love can be rough around the edges
Tattered at the seams
But honey if it's good enough for you
It's good enough for me

If your mother doesn't like
The way I treat her baby boy
It's all right
It's all right
If in every wedding picture
My daddy looks annoyed
It's all right
It's all right
Don't you knoe that fairy tales tell a lie
Real love and real life doesn't have to be

[Chorus]

You don't mind if I show up late for everthing
And when you lose your cool It's kinda cute to me
Ain't it nice to know that we don't have to be

[Chorus]

It's good enough for me(perfect)
Yeah good enough for me(perfect)
Good enogh for me(perfect)

General CommentThis is agreat song. And it hit home for me because. I found someone who is an older guy . He isn't perfect, but he is a great dad to my son who is not his and has been for 6 yrs now. He also is the most loving man I hvae ever met in my life. And he puts me and our kids on a pedistool. He is my soul mate and it just goes to show love doesn't have to be PERFECT, if you are truely happy.

General CommentThis is one of my favorite songs by her :) This song is saying that not all relationships have to be red roses and chocolates and candlelit dinners. That loving each other and being comfortable is enough and that nothing has to be perfect, just as long as they treat each other right.

General CommentI love her voice in this...and wow what a great song! It's true, true love doesn't come all nicely wrapped up. Two people who are deeply in love would appreciate sitting under the stars as much as or even more than a candlelit dinner. It takes one thing to make real love work...being comfortable with one another. With that, a perfect couple could love each other for an eternity without spending a penny...the way it should be.
