Slowly we peel away the layers and the light seeps through the cracks.
You whispered softly in my ear,
"the birth of mornings upon us, dear",
the bandages then fell upon the floor.
And there was no one in that room.
And it's quiet down the hallway where the doctors wash their hands.
Behind my eyes I feel the hollow jabs of your morphine kiss.
Your anesthetic name is autographed upon my bones.
This reception died in vein.
In vain.
A tarnished angel leaves her ghost on the surface.
A jealous daughter starves to death for the mother as I awaited your return.
I wait for your return.
It seems the only way that I will ever feel alive.
Throw myself into my injuries and close my eyes.
I'd give anything to feel alive.
And I will wait for you tonight.
This scalpel carves a map for you.

General CommentI think I have the meaning to this song down...

The song is titled, "I never met another Gemini"
A gemini's sign is the twin.

The story is this guy is dying in a hospital bed,
and he's having delusions of a persons presence,
    but never see's the person,
    only hears them.

The person he hears is himself,
    but in death.
It's his "twin" (remember, the sign of the Gemini...)
He's talking to himself from 'the other side'

At the end of the song,
    he dies,
and he joins his twin in death.

    It's confusing, but I think that's it...

General CommentThis song seems to be about abortion. its pretty straightfoward if you read the lyrics, especially the line "This reception died in vain". in any event, its an amazing song

General CommentI reckon it's about someone waking up in hospital (car accident?)and being someone completely different, like coming out of a coma. The guy feels trapped in time waiting for "your return". I can't really figure out the end bit. I thought this idea made sense as a follow on from You Know Whos Seatbelt and explains the order on the CD

General CommentIt seems to me to be about a car accident or something, where the speaker's survived but the other person in the car died, and the guy is in the hospital and in denial and refusing to accept it. But I don't know.

General CommentWell this definately follows up on dale earnhearts Seatbelt, and then the guy wakes up in the hospital the next morning. And Im thinking that he dreams/ remembers his wife or someone close to him waking him up softly in the morning. He opens his eyes to find that he's in this empty desolate room, I think there is probably reason to believe that the mother was killed in the accident... theres no telling. But when they say "I will wait for you" and "A jealous daughter starves to death for the mother" It seems like they are both waiting for "the mother" to come even though she wont come.
