I hear the footsteps crawling by,
Watching myself slowly die.
Sharp pain is impaling through my heart,
Slowly tearing me apart.

One minute you're an angel fallen from grace,
Next, the fist that I hate.
Pick me up from the gutter with a gentle kiss,
Then rips out my heart to show me how black it is!

No!
Yet again...
It feels so cold,
Yet I won’t turn back,
I'll die alone!

(Guitar Solo)

I hear the footsteps walking by,
Watching myself slowly die.
Sharpening pain leading through my heart,
Slowly tearing me apart.

(Guitar Solo)
(Guitar-Keyboard Duo)

When you appear as an angel
Look at me now, losing my way.
Could you ever kill the pain in my heart
Even though they say angels don't kill?

No!
Yet again...
It feels so cold,
Yet I won’t turn back,
I’ll die alone!

General CommentI've always wandered why I love this song so much, but there's just something about it, that sounds so damn awesome, and that it so "slow"... It's just amazing!

Can anyone explain, why it rocks this much?

General Commentthis song is definately one of COBs best even though its at a far slower pace than normal.
IMO you can really hear the skill in the vocals in this song

General Commentincase you people wanted to know, the actual name "children of bodom" came from the killings at lake bodom, 5 kids were murdered and tossed into the lake, and how convenient...5 members in the band...just a little tidbit for you guys to play on

General CommentI thought the story of the bodom killings was the 3 friends that went camping, and then someone entered there tent stabbing 2 of the kids dead and the other seriously injured?? ah well, awesome as song. i think it means the pain of being alone, perhaps being walked out on.
