Pain never seemed so pure, and I was never more willing. An obsession laced with perfection, and a dire need to distain loneliness.

This was all just a vesture for apathy.

Constellations have become a mere game of connect-the-dots, for I've no longer imagination. And I'm so far from home that telephones have lost their significance. Because the price to pay, adds up one day, and you wonder was the accident worth the money?

These crashes have lost their meaning, for I've fallen asleep at the wheel for the last time. I'd like to say I'm sorry, I'd like to say I meant it, and its such a shame that the only spark left was blacked out by the aftermath.
I'll wave goodbye for the last time.

Even in this state I try to forget the monologue I've come to hate. I'd like to say I wasted words on you, but im afraid your sheer poetry. While you completed me, you also tore me to shreds. My dear, I fear, this will end.

So I'll write you something lackluster and shallow because I feel its all I deserve. I wont dare spend a dime, for that 10 seconds worth of time I swear my legs would break. If my lungs could speak once more I'd scream your name. I'll laugh at us, I'll curse our name, but had I any shame I would've walked away sooner. I suppose I couldn't, because effort with wounded knees is as impossible as not knowing your voice in a maelstrom.

I never would've thought that the wreckage would be harder than the accretion.

Grow to your deaths, I'd like mine right now

General CommentWhen you first look at this song title you may think "this isn't lord of the rings what the hell are you talking about". As this is one of the songs that means a lot personally to me I reserve the right to write whatever the hell metaphors I feel nessacary to convey my message to the public. In mythology a pheonix was a bird of fire that when its demise was met, it burst into flames, and from its ashes spawned a new being, that had the heart and mind of the orginal bird, but a new design.. Simillar to beliefs of reincarnation. In this song it's metaphorically said that everything that is eternal is being laid to rest, thus waving goodbye to forever. And by doing this it makes everything seem bland and repetitive.
