"Dead And Broken" as written by and Salvatore P. Erna....
A deep dark secret down at the bottom
But this bay can't keep it unforgotten.
And a story that was told has now grown taller than we'd ever wish to be
Beyond belief

I'll grab the boat if you go grab the anchor,
The tarp and twine and the weights that sank her.
They weren't enough look who showed up
A new light shed is shining through. Illuminating you as we lay

Side by side, dead and broken
Our lives aren't the same since the night yours went stolen.
Blood ran black beneath the moonlight. Your lover's blood ran cold,
Cutting off the hands he used to hold.

A deep dark secret down at the bottom
But this bay can't keep it unforgotten.
And a story that was told has now grown taller than we'd ever want to be
Beyond Belief.

Side by side, dead and broken
Our Hearts aren't the same since the night yours went stolen.
Blood ran black beneath the moonlight. Your lover's blood ran cold,
Cutting off the hands he used to hold.

We used to hold.

General CommentThat's what the insert of the Promo says:

General Commentwell i know this song is talking about him killing a girl and the tarp he used to wrap her + the weights to sink her weren't enough to keep her underwater and she floated up and was exposed by the moonlight, blah blah, what the hell does this song really mean? it's tough trying to figure the perpective. maybe it's another song relating to julie or FYA? or just a random one?

General Commentwow, those lyrics are way long. haha. anyway, i heard on the trio message boards that the song is about laci peterson (scott peterson killing her, and all). i don't know if that's right, but it seems entirely plausible to me considering matt lives in the bay area and all...
