"Memory" as written by and Justin Thomas Daly....
This may never start.
We could fall apart.
And I'd be your memory.
Lost your sense of fear.
Feelings insincere.
Can I be your memory?

So get back, back, back to where we lasted.
Just like I imagine.
I could never feel this way.
So get back, back, back to the disaster.
My heart's beating faster.
Holding on to feel the same.

This may never start.
I'll tear us apart.
Cannot be your enemy.
Losing half a year.
Waiting for you here
I'd be your anything.

So get back, back, back to where we lasted.
Just like I imagine.
I could never feel this way.
So get back, back, back to the disaster.
My heart's beating faster.
Holding on to feel the same.

This may never start.
Tearing out my heart.
I'd be your memory.
Lost your sense of fear.
(I'd be your memory)
Feelings disappear.
Can I be your memory?

So get back, back, back to where we lasted.
Just like I imagine.
I could never feel this way.
So get back, back, back to the disaster.
My heart's beating faster.
Holding on to feel the same.

This could never start.
We could fall apart
And I'd be your memory.
Lost your sense of fear.
Feelings insincere.
Can I be your memory?
Can I be your memory?

General CommentI think this song is about a relationship that didn't happen. And wishing it had, imagining what would have happened. Not caring that it would end bad, just wanting to be able to remember the whole thing. The writer regrets not starting a relationship, because he thought it would end badly... but now he realizes that perhaps the relationship and memories of it would have been worth a bad falling out with the girl. I've had this happen to me at least twice....

General CommentThis song reminds me about how no matter how hard you try to forget someone that hurt you in your life, you can't forget them and all you have is memories of the good and bad times.

General CommentI don't think this song's about a break-up. I think it's about a relationship that he wants to happen. He doesn't really care if it fails sometime, he just wants to be with her. "I'd be your anything." He'll be her "memory" after it's maybe over, he'll be her love, he'll be anything to her that he can be. As long as they can get together.

General Comment(prayingmantis84, you should be able to edit it...) Anyway... I think the song is about a failed (maybe still failing) relationship... and the guy wants her back, even though things were rocky when they were together... But if they can't be together again, he doesn't want her to forget him.

General CommentI think it's still failing, on the very verge of goodbye and he doesn't want her to forget him.

On a side note, this sounds vaugely Eternal Sunshine, doesn't it? I mean, they wrote it long before the movie, but still...

General CommentThat sounds rather painful... where can I get it? (assume I can't use any file-sharing programs... because I can't)
