"Endlessly" as written by and Matthew James Bellamy....
There's a part in me you'll never know
The only thing I'll never show

Hopelessly I'll love you endlessly
Hopelessly I'll give you everything
But I won't give you up
I won't let you down
And I won't leave you falling
If the moment ever comes

It's plain to see it's trying to speak
Cherished dreams forever asleep
Hopelessly I'll love you endlessly
Hopelessly I'll give you everything
But I won't give you up
I won't let you down
And I won't leave you falling
If the moment ever comes

Hopelessly I'll love you endlessly
Hopelessly I'll give you everything
But I won't give you up
I won't let you down
And I won't leave you falling
But the moment never comes

My InterpretationUnfortunately, I can seriously relate to this song , this is my interpretation:

It's about someone who is friends with another person, probably best friends but deep down inside this person loves, cares for and is probably obsessed with their friend although they'd never tell them this (there's a part in me you'll never know/the only thing I'll never show)

And to me, the chorus sounds a bit hopeless, like, the writer can't help being in love, being obsessed with this person and he almost regretfully states that no matter what happens, he will hopelessly be in love with this person even if he doesn't want to be. He says that no matter what, he's gonna love this person without choice, without a hope. Then the next few lines say that he can't give her up and if the moment ever occurs where she loves him back, then he won't leave her falling in love.

My favourite lines are probably "It's plain to see it's trying to speak/cherished dreams forever asleep" He's saying that all his dreams of being together and having the girl fall in love with him, all of his cherised dreams of them will be only that, dreams and nothing more. It's horribly bleak.

And then the ending line "But the moment never comes." is the summary to this sad song. Hes saying that he will always love her and without hope, utterly bleakly he will always wait for the moment for them to fall in love even though, it will never come and he can't do anything about it even if he wants to.

So yeah, it can be about unrequited love or it can be about an obsession but really, the song doesn't focus on WHY this writer is never going to have his moment but explains rather his anguish in the fact that his love for her is unpromising and impossible, but yet he can't do anythign but follow the bleak road he is already on.

    Truly a sad song.

General Commentobbsession. He loves her, she doesnt love him back. So he can never tell her. He's promising to always be there for her. sad really.

General CommentHe loves her secretly, from afar. He's saying to himself all the things he'd love to tell her directly, if only he could get the chance. Ultimately he knows he never will, as the last line spins it into the definite: "...but the moment never comes." He'll always wait for her, even though the waiting is all he'll ever do.

General CommentThis song is clearly about loving one person very, very much. I don't know, I feel like it is about two friends, where one of them is actually in love with the other, without the other knowing. I don't know why, but thats the what i see in my head when I think of this song. It is quite sad.

General CommentThis song is one of my favs. ALl the passion is amazing. Just grabs you and pulls you along for the ride. The emotional ride of being in love, not giving a person up.

"but I won't give you up
    I won't let you down"

    And is absolutely wonderful!

Just goes to prove that sometimes simple really is the most effective.

General CommentI reckon its about how he desperately loves someone, but keeps it a secret from them ("cherished dreams forever asleep" and the first two lines), and how he is waiting for an opportunity to show the person how he really feels ("I won't let you down, and I won't leave you falling. If the moment ever comes.")
