"Sunsets" as written by Bernard Joseph Fanning, Darren Stuart Middleton, John Andrew Collins, Ian David Haug and Jonathan Robert Coghill....
Sunsets over the beaches from now on
Each day looking for new ways to go

Maybe I should drop by
Maybe I should have called
Maybe I should have followed you and beat down your door
Maybe it's gonna be breaking you every time you fall
But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all

Slow burn watching the world turn from my arms
New way of measuring each day till it's gone

Maybe I should drop by
Maybe I should have called
Maybe I should have followed you and beat down your door
Maybe it's gonna be breaking you every time you fall
But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all, no good at all

Sunrise building a reprise in my heart
Regret tight around my chest plays its part
until its gone
yeah, until its gone

But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all, no good at all

Watching the sunset sunset sunset sunset
over the beaches beaches beaches beaches
(x4)

General Commentthis song is about leaving someone i think, in some ways it's a cold song but in others it's not, it's the choice of leaving but trying not to hurt the person.

i'm serious this song and the emotional connection it has to me makes me cry everytime i hear it

General CommentI'm 99 percent sure this is about Bernard Fanning's brother dying of cancer.

General CommentA lot of Vulture Street seems to be about losing someone and moving on. Perhaps a lover, perhaps his brother

General CommentI love this song. It also causes me to nearly be brought to tears every time. I guess it is a song of hope as well, because after losing someone, life still does go on. Sunsets still happen. Maybe seeing life in a different view as well, "New way of measuring each day ".

General CommentI *love* this song. This is the only song a canNOT get sick of at all. I have it on repeat all the time. The acoustic version is beautiful.

To me, this song is about losing someone. It could be to death, or in a relationship.

"Now we're watching the sunset, sunset, sunset over the beaches"
^ Sunset = end of a day. So it's like closing a chapter of your life.

    To me, anyway :)

General CommentI think this song is about someone lamenting about another person. He regrets not doing enough for his friend/significant other, and that the person he cares about has made a lot of mistakes. But he resolves not to pity them or to make them feel better, because it's their fault in the end, and although he regrets the decision they made, he won't do anything about it. He watches the sunset on the beaches.

That's just my opinion. Great song.

General CommentTo me the line "But to shower you with pity will do you no good at all - no good at all" is a pretty good indication it's about his brother..

General CommentThis Is What It Means To Me...

Slow burn watching the world turn from my arms:
They Were Going Out, He Broke Up With Her, And She Didnt Take It That Well. Now He Must Watch The World By Himself, && Not In HER Arms.

Maybe I should drop by maybe I should have called:
Now Hes Thinking He Maybe Should Of Handled It Better. Like Tried To Be There For Her Still && Help Her Move On.
But Then He Realises That To Shower Her With Pity Will Just Make It Worse.

Maybe it's gonna be breaking you every time you fall:
He Thinks That If He Cannot Get Over This, How Is She Ever Ganna Move On In Life.

Regret tight around my chest plays its part:
He Does Reconize That Maybe He Shouldnt Of Done It Or Whatever, && He Does Regret It.

Now we're watching the sunset Over the beaches:
Even Though He May Regret It, He Is Still Moving On With His Life && Thinks She Should Do the Same. Hes Looking At The Better Things Of Life.
