"Escape from the A-Bomb House" as written by and Louis James Schaub Christopher Demakes....
Dear Mom and Dad,
I've been making plans
To leave this house and yes I'm sure
So lock the door, and turn the
Front porch lights out

After all the endless fights
The who's been wrong and who's been right
We just never saw eye to eye

So there's no need to apologize
Don't wait up, I'll be fine
If you could see inside my head
Maybe you could understand
That I'm better off
I'm better off gone

Dear Mom and Dad,
I've been making plans
To leave your house and yes I'm sure
That nothing's wrong, so just
Be strong on my way out

After all the endless nights
The who's been wrong and who's been right
We just never saw eye to eye

So there's no need to apologize
Don't wait up, I'll be fine
If you could see inside my head
Maybe you could understand
That I'm better off gone
I'm better off gone
‘Cause we don't see eye to eye

General Commentgood simple song. a guy is sick of fighting with his family and chooses to leave the house instead of letting things get worse.

General Commentthis songs meaning is so simple, but yet so brilliant. It really is a teenage anthem. It's meaning is basically what shfiftyfive said

General Commentthis song is about someone coming of age and realizing that they are old enough to make it on their own and that they dont need their parents blocking them from their dreams. from what it sounds like the parents had a different plan for the individual and they couldnt be who they wanted in this house.
