Hey you mrs. I don't know what the fuck your name is
I'm drawn to you, something's magnetic here
If I could approach you
Or even get close to the scent that you left behind
I'd be fine

No doubt that (no doubt)
You bring out (bring out)
The animal inside

I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive

Hey you mrs. too good to look my way and that's cool
You don't want nothing at all to do with me
But I want you, ain't nothin' wrong with, wanting you
'Cause I'm a man and I can think what the hell I want
You got that straight?

No doubt that (no doubt)
I'd love to (I'd love)
Sniff on them panties now

I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive

I'm sorry, so sorry (damn you're so hot)
You beauty is so vain (damn you're so hot)
It drives me, yes, it drives me (damn you're so hot)
Absolutely insane

I just wanna look at you
I just wanna look at you
I just wanna look at you, all day
There ain't nothing wrong, no
There ain't nothing wrong with that

Once you seep in (once you seep in)
Under my skin (under my skin)
There's nothing (nothing), there's nothing (nothing)
In this world that could wash you away (wash you away, wash you away)
Once you seep in (once you seep in) yeah
Under my skin (under my skin)
There's nothing (nothing), there's nothing (nothing)
In this world that could wash you away (wash you away)

I'm sorry, so sorry (damn you're so hot)
You beauty is so vain (damn you're so hot)
It drives me, yes, it drives me (damn you're so hot)
Absolutely insane

I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive
I'd eat you alive

I thought this song was about Hot Peppers/Hot Salsa and he is hungry but afraid he will get indegestion... Think about it...

I’m drawn to you, something’s magnetic here If i could approach you Or even get close to the scent that you left behind I’d be fine: He is in a bar and their are some Nacho chips and some Hot salsa. He wishes he can eat some because it smells so good he is drawn to it like a magnet.

But i want you, ain’t nothing wrong with wanting you ‘ cause i’m a man and i can think what the hell i want You got that straight He is trying to work up some nerve to eat the hot salso but he just can't do it. and since he cant eat the hot salsa we get the next few verses...

I’m sorry, so sorry (damn you’re so hot) Your beauty is so vain (damn you’re so hot) It drives me, yes it drives me (damn you’re so hot) Absolutely insane He cant eat the salso because its so hot but it looks soooo good that it drives him crazy.

I just wanna look at you, i just wanna look at you I just wanna look at you all day There ain’t nothing wrong, no There ain’t nothing with that He knows he cant eat it because he will get indigestion or acid reflux so he tries to persuade himseelf just to look it it instead and then he tries to rationalize and comes to his sense in the next verse...

Once you seep in under my skin There’s nothing, there’s nothing in this world That could wash you away If he eats it, there is no amount of Pepto Bismol or tums that can get rid of the indegestion.

Sooo there you go... this song is definately about Fred Durst having a problem with eating Hot Salsa

Standing On The Edge Of Summer
Thursday
In regards to the meaning of this song: Before a live performance on the EP Five Stories Falling, Geoff states “It’s about the last time I went to visit my grandmother in Columbus, and I saw that she was dying and it was the last time I was going to see her. It is about realizing how young you are, but how quickly you can go.” That’s the thing about Geoff and his sublime poetry, you think it’s about one thing, but really it’s about something entirely different. But the lyrics are still universal and omnipresent, ubiquitous, even. So relatable. That’s one thing I love about this band. I also love their live performances, raw energy and Geoff’s beautiful, imperfectly perfect vocals. His voice soothes my aching soul.

Fast Car
Tracy Chapman
"Fast car" is kind of a continuation of Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run." It has all the clawing your way to a better life, but in this case the protagonist never makes it with her love; in fact she is dragged back down by him. There is still an amazing amount of hope and will in the lyrics; and the lyrics themselve rank and easy five. If only music was stronger it would be one of those great radio songs that you hear once a week 20 years after it was released. The imagery is almost tear-jerking ("City lights lay out before us", "Speeds so fast felt like I was drunk"), and the idea of starting from nothing and just driving and working and denigrating yourself for a chance at being just above poverty, then losing in the end is just painful and inspiring at the same time.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Head > Heels
Ed Sheeran
“Head > Heels” is a track that aims to capture what it feels like to experience romance that exceeds expectations. Ed Sheeran dedicates his album outro to a lover who has blessed him with a unique experience that he seeks to describe through the song’s nuanced lyrics.
