"Tree Tops" as written by and Chauntelle/dupree Dupree....
When I was a young girl
Trying to find her way above the tree tops, the tree tops, the tree tops
When I was a young girl
Trying to find her way above the tree tops, the tree tops, the tree tops
I did not care, I did not care
What they called me, what they called me

I'll float above the ocean
The sun above is burning my head
I will grow wings and fly everywhere

When I was a young girl
Trying to find her way above the tree tops, the tree tops, the tree tops
I did not care, I did not care
What they called me, what they called me
No, I did not care, I should not care
What they called me, what they called me

I'll float above the ocean
The sun above is burning my head
I will grow wings and fly everywhere

Butter warm clouds are dripping into my mouth
Tasting of golden

I'll float above the ocean
The sun above is burning my head
I will grow wings and fly everywhere

I'll float above the ocean
The sun above is burning my head
I will grow wings and fly everywhere

General CommentI think it's about her when she was younger and she never cared what the other kids thought of her. She was off in her own world, and that was enough.

The music's not particularly good on this one, but not bad.

Oh well. This is my ABSOLUTE FAVORITE Eisley song!i liked the band more as Mos Eisley though. But i think it's cool that they area family band dispite all the previous family bands like the Brady Bunch and the Partrage Family.

General CommentAhaha I remember jumping on my trampoline after it rained once, and whenever I hit it, it would sound like the drum to the beginning of this song, and I sang "When I was a young girl..." and then my sister told me to get off or I would slip and hurt myself.

I love this song. it makes me so happy. Eisley makes me happy.

General CommentI think this song is about a girl who when she was young dreamed of flying "I will grow wings and fly every where" And she would try to do that by climbing trees and trying to get to the top. But the other kids thought she was a joke and would call her names and make fun of her.

General Commenteven though they really have no connection, this song reminds me of the short story A White Heron by Sarah Orne Jewett.
