"What Am I To You?" as written by and Norah Jones....
What am I to you?
Tell me darlin' true
To me you are the sea
Vast as you can be
And deep the shade of blue

When you're feelin' low
To whom else do you go?
I'd cry if you hurt
I'd give you my last shirt
Because I love you so

Now if my sky should fall
Would you even call?
I've opened up my heart
I never want to part
I'm givin' you the ball

When I look in your eyes
I can feel the butterflies
I'll love you when you're blue
But tell me darlin' true
What am I to you?

If my sky should fall
would you even call?
I've opened up my heart
I never want to part
I'm givin' you the ball

When I look in your eyes
I can feel the butterflies
Could you find a love in me?
Would you carve me in a tree?
Don't fill my heart with lies
I will love you when you're blue
But tell me darlin' true
What am I to you?

General CommentThis song makes me think of this guy I've been in love with, but nothing will ever happen between us. I've often wondered if he would notice if anything were wrong with me, but in the end, we all have our fear and mine happens to be telling him how I feel.

I totally get this song. You love someone and you don't really know how they feel about you. You felt something so special and this person meant the world to you. You opened up your heart and you cry when they hurt, but who knows how they feel.... True love? It is actually is quite awful.

General CommentI really like this song! This is my favourite song by Norah Jones. It's just such a chilled-out, relaxing song with such a nice vibe. It really sets a specific mood. It's all calm, platonic and passive. It's really nice...it's like a massage in song form!
I love Norah's voice, and i love how she brings artistic creativity to another level just by maintaining that subtle level of simplicity in her work. 'What Am I To You?' is a great song that makes me feel all warm inside.
It's about a girl who's not quite sure where she stands with a guy...it's all fairly simple but that's why it's great.

    General CommentPretteey obvious.
a girl whose blantantly devoted to a boy, who is deeply in love with him, and wants to know if he feels the same way.
I agree with Lici, it's such a relaxing song. There's just something about Norah's voice that comforts you no matter what going on in your life.
