Feigning joy and surprise
At the gifts we despise over mulled wine with you
On the twenty-fifth day
Of the twelfth month, the sleigh bells are in time, ringin' true

How we cling, each Noel, to that snowflake's hope in hell
That it won't end
Don't let the bells end
Christmas time
Just let them ring in peace

Well, the weather is cruel
And the season of Yule lifts the heart, but it still hurts
You've got your career
Spent the best part of last year apart and it still hurts

So that's why I pray each and every Christmas day
That it won't end
Don't let the bells end
Christmas time
Just let them ring in peace

(Christmas time)
(Don't let the bells end)
(Christmas time)
(Don't let the bells end)

Poised underneath the mistletoe leaf
And you're not here
You went away, upon Boxing Day
Now how the hell am I gonna make it into the New Year?

Christmas time (don't let it end)
Don't let the bells end
Christmas time
Don't let the bells end (don't let the bells end)

Christmas time
Don't let the bells end
Christmas time
Just let them ring in peace
Christmas time (come on, kids)
Don't let the bells end (bells end)
Christmas time
Don't let the bells end

This song is basically about being away from your partner all year and the time you do have together at Christmas is really special and you make the most of it!

Nowhere near as good as the band they're ripping off, but still, a decent band and a bold move to bring stadium rock back. (They're ripping Queen off, by the way).

queen and the darkness do have a resemblance dumb ass. justin and dan hawkins were in many bands, but never together. on millenium eve 2000, justin sprang to his feet and sang along to bohemium rhapsody and contemporary dancing and in the words of dan "acting like a complete twt". thats when they realised they needed to make a band together. queen has been the darkness's biggest inspiration. and whichever of you asshles think there taking the mick, your wrong. they are just open and express their ideas in a much more full on way than any bands would ever do today. brian may and justin hawkins are great friends anyway. lol

endal, are you actually taking the bloody piss? Justin's BIGGEST influence is Freddie Mercury - the only reason his brother asked him to be in the band was because he sang Bohemian Rhapsody on karaoke note-perfect. Queen will forever remain superior to The Darkness, hands down. But The Darkness still remain the best attempt at bringing back stadium rock to its rightful place.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/
