Extending a life with total resistance
To fatal disease, future methods of science

Replacing what is real by using technology
Population control, selecting those who will breed
A specific type of form chosen for the unborn
A mind without emotion
Progressive anatomy

Genetic reconstruction
Evolution in production

[Solos: Murphy, Shuldiner]

Producing a race of human machines
A new age of existence the world will see

Replacing what is real by using technology
Population control, selecting those who will breed
A specific type of form chosen for the unborn
A mind without emotion
Progressive anatomy

Genetic reconstruction
Evolution in production

General CommentMan, Death were fucking amazing.
Listening to this song, (in terms of the lyrics), it isn't hard to imagine Fear Factory listening to this song before they enter the studio.

It is obviously about genetic engineering and the way that Chuck feels it will lead to our destruction.

General CommentThis song is about a lady called Jilly who is drinking a cup of Robinsons Orange Squash. She accidentally spills a smidgen of it on her pinafore causing a stain. She faints with the surprise. When she awakes in her living quarters she is full of discomfort because of the affair and runs to her garderobe to try and find another pinafore. Unfortunately she has no other pinnys in there so she gets her coat and bonnet on and leaves for the tailor's shop. The tailor is a god-fearing man and does not laugh at Jilly's situation. Instead he is empathetic towards her and constructs a new pinafore for her. It is the perfect fit and rather pretty. She goes home looking imaculately pretty and her husband compliments her on her ravishing appearance. The old pinaffore is placed in a washbasket.

General CommentThis song is about the book Brave New World, which addresses realistic fears of where advanced cloning and genetic engineering could lead. I don't know if it's what Chuck had in mind when he wrote the lyrics, but they fit in perfectly.
