Here's another song with the four oldest chords in history
I guess I lost all ambition turning left on Missouri
I could have made it better, but the feelings just aren't there
My heart is cold and black, but I just don't think I care
So here's to me saying "fare-thee-well"
And when you hear this song I hope it hurts like hell

Enamel is stretched too thin
You're beautiful, but not beneath your skin
Enamel, like insect shells
So hollow, like your wedding bells

The phone lines down in mexico are slow and maybe tired
I think all your devotion, got lost inside the wires
Well i hope you cannot sleep, and I hope you cannot smile
And I hope that you are burdened with your guilt for quite a while
I hope you fall in love but I hope your plans are thwarted
And I hope that now you're back it's because you were deported

General CommentClearly not a song about a girl he wants back. Who wants someone back after she ditches you right before the wedding!? He's venting now, not like when he wrote Ugly Day.

General CommentIt should also be noted that when Reese says "Missouri" in the second line, he makes it sound like "misery". I think that was intentional.

General CommentOk, seriously. This isn't a hard song. This song is talking about sometimes we look beautiful on the outside, but we are actually shallow on the inside. Nothing to do with a love song.

General CommentThe funny thing is on the song they kind of put the bg music over him saying hell and they don't actually include the word in the booklet that comes with the CD talk about making a big deal out of a word that is used all the time by all.

General Commentthe girl left him- he wished he could have her again, but he knows it ain't going to happe. easy to interperate. great song tho. lots of feeling in the voice. one thing tho- "And when you hear this song I hope it hurts like hell "- kinda weird comming from these guys. they were in the christian group five iron frenzy. DON'T let that stop you from listining to them. they are awesome as a group- independent of FIF
