"If I Ain't Got You" as written by and Alicia J Augello-cook....
Some people live for the fortune
Some people live just for the fame
Some people live for the power, yeah
Some people live just to play the game

Some people think that the physical things define what's within
And I've been there before, and that life's a bore
So full of the superficial

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you baby
If I ain't got you baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, yeah

Some people search for a fountain
That promises forever young
Some people need three dozen roses
And that's the only way to prove you love them

Hand me the world on a silver platter
And what good would it be
With no one to share, with no one who truly cares for me

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you baby
If I ain't got you baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you

Some people want it all
But I don't want nothing at all
If it ain't you baby
If I ain't got you baby
Some people want diamond rings
Some just want everything
But everything means nothing
If I ain't got you, yeah

If I ain't got you with me baby
So nothing in this whole wide world don't mean a thing
If I ain't got you with me baby

General CommentIts about being in love and not caring about material things or anything like that because all she needs is her lover. And how you could have everything in the world yet still be unhappy without that one special person. It is the most romantic meaningful song ever.

General CommentI think alicia put her personal experiences as a celebrity into her true feelings of "whats inside". she leads a very luxurious life, but shes still a person and i think she is trying to say she values love and present life than worrying about looks, luxuries, the past, or the future.

General CommentThis song brings out so much emotion in me. I think about a guy i'm into, and I know I can't live without him. Like Ms. Keys says, "But everything means nothing, if I ain't got you." Go Alicia!

General Commenti love this song because it shows how much u love someone and Alicia Keys expresses how she feels about love and hate and emotions. Also it shows that u cant let go of that person's love!!
