"The Ex" as written by Aaron Solowoniuk, Jon Gallant, Ian D'sa and Ben Kowalewicz....
Well, I looked at her face and then I knew she changed
My heart turned black and then the sky turned gray!
My heart turned black and then the sky turned gray!

So I sat in my room for twenty seven days,
No she never called, I had something to say!
No she never called, I had something to say!

I don't know much and I don't know how

Why would she put me through such torture,
I would have given my life for her,
She was the one that knocked me over,
Now I'm alone sitting on the corner

Well, I heard she's great and her new boyfriend's lame,
She can go to hell I'll never be the same!
She can go to hell I'll never be the same!

And these open wounds will heal with time they say,
My heart turned black and then the sky turned gray!
My heart turned black and then the sky turned gray!

I don't know much and I don't know how

Why would she put me through such torture,
I would have given my life for her,
She was the one that knocked me over,
Now I'm alone sitting on the corner

General CommentThis is the kind of romance song people need. Some thing that says "Yeah she broke my heart, but she can go to hell."

... 27 days... the number of days in February... Valentine's Day... maybe he found out about it before Valentine's Day and was hoping she would call him but she never did...

i'm probably way off mark, but it was worth a try... i guess...

General CommentAs That guitar guy said I saw them at Warped Tour '04 too and he told us the story and I remember it too. He fell in love with this girl and they got married, they had a perfect life and they would go to church on Sunday's and they would go home and she'd give him a blowjob.(This is what he said. Not my words.) Then he went on tour for 2 months and he came back soo happy to see her, only to find out she'd been cheating on him with his best friend. After he told us this whole story he said "This means I get to write a song about you."
And there you are. It's more signifigant then just being his ex. By the way their show rocked ass too. It was probably the best performance I've seen in my entire life. Ben, their lead singer is crazy and he kicks everyones ass.

    General CommentThose lyrics are wrong.
    Here are the real lyrics:

Well I looked at her face and then I knew she changed
Yeah my heart turned black, then the sky turned grey
Yeah my heart turned black, then the sky turned grey

And so I sat in my room for 27 days
No she never called, I had somthing to say
No she never called, I had something to say

Well I don't know much, and I don't know how

Why would she put me through such torture
I would have given my life for her
She was the one that knocked me over
Now I'm alone sitting on the corner

Well I heard she'd great and her new boyfriend's lame
She can go to hell, I'll never be the same
She can go to hell, I'll never be the same

And my open wounds will heal with time they say
Yeah my heart turned black, and the sky turned grey
Yeah my heart turned black, and the sky turned grey

Well I don't know much, and I don't know how

Why would she put me through such torture
I would have given my life for her
She was the one that knocked me over
Now I'm alone sitting on the corner [x2]

Well I don't know much, and I don't know how

Why would she put me through such torture
I would have given my life for her
She was the one that knocked me over
Now I'm alone sitting on the corner [x2]

General CommentThis is about someone who got dumped. I'm not sure if the torture is sitting in his room for 27 days or getting dumped. But one thing I have a question on is if he had something to say, why didn't he call her?
