Bury me standing under your window with this cinder block in hand
Yeah 'cause no one will ever feel like this again
And if I could move, I'm sure it would only be to crawl back to you
I must have dragged my guts a block
They were gone by the time we

Whoa, I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself
You know that I could crush you with my voice
Woah, I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself
You know that I could crush you with my voice

Stood on my roof and tried to see you
Forgetting about me
Hide the details
I don't want to know a thing

I hate the way you say my name like it's something secret
My pen is the barrel of the gun
Remind me which side you should be on

Whoa, I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself
You know that I could crush you with my voice
Whoa, I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself
You know that I could crush you with my voice

Stood on my roof and tried to see you
Forgetting about me
Hide the details
I don't want to know a thing

Wish that I was as invisible as you make me feel
Wish that I was as invisible as you make me feel
Whoa, I want to hate you half as much as I hate my
Whoa, I want to hate you half as much as I hate my (1, 2, 3, 4)

Whoa, I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself
You know that I could crush you with my voice
Whoa, I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself
You know that I could crush you with my voice

This song is actually my favourites from Fall Out Boy, but whats really sad about it is how all those little teeny boppers have heard "I wish that I was as invisible as you make me feel" and have somehow managed to turn it cheap. Kinda like what happened to Radiohead's Creep "I want you to notice when I'm not around."

Bury me standing under your window with the cinder block in hand - he wanted to hurt her but couldnt as he loves her Yeah cause no one will ever feel like this again - sme as above And if I could move I'm sure it would only be to crawl back to you - stating he would go back to her no matter what I must have dragged my guts a block... they were gone by the time we (talked)...- his feelings were on the surface, but when he seen her he had no guts to tell her how he feels ?

I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself - hes disapointed in himself But you know that I could crush you with my voice - the songs will get her back/ he could tell people what shes done

Stood on my roof and tried to see you forgetting about me - looked into her window as shes cheating ? Hide the details I don't want to know a thing - shes admitted it to him

I hate the way you say my name like it's something secret - ashamed of him My pen is the barrel of the gun. Remind me which side you should be on - she should be with him and not being wrote about like the rest of girlies

I wish that I was as invisible as you make me feel. - she doesnt relise hes even their, like most of us have felt :)

i wouldn't say that fall out boy's lyrics are simple at all. i think they come up with some of the best metaphors that i've ever heard.

"I want to hate you half as much as I hate myself" That line is the best in the song...I don't know, it just seems like it describes most of my really pitiful relationships.
    Wow...that sounded really emo...

this is one of my favorite fob songs...especially the line "I hate the way you say my name like it's something secret "...totally relatable, when youre with someone and they act like theyre ashamed of it...it sucks

I was falling for this guy and then he went to Cali on spring break and never came back.........he came back last week looking for me but we didn't get to talk.............the line "if I could move I'm sure it would only be to crawl back to you" says just what I feel, if I could, I'd run back to him even though he fucked up bad......and it sucks 'cause I wish I could hate him but I can't.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

I Can't Go To Sleep
Wu-Tang Clan
This song is written as the perspective of the boys in the street, as a whole, and what path they are going to choose as they get older and grow into men. (This is why the music video takes place in an orphanage.) The seen, and unseen collective suffering is imbedded in the boys’ mind, consciously or subconsciously, and is haunting them. Which path will the boys choose? Issac Hayes is the voice of reason, maybe God, the angel on his shoulder, or the voice of his forefathers from beyond the grave who can see the big picture and are pleading with the boys not to continue the violence and pattern of killing their brothers, but to rise above. The most beautiful song and has so many levels. Racism towards African Americans in America would not exist if everyone sat down and listened to this song and understood the history behind the words. The power, fear, pleading in RZA and Ghostface voices are genuine and powerful. Issac Hayes’ strong voice makes the perfect strong father figure, who is possibly from beyond the grave.

Blue
Ed Sheeran
“Blue” is a song about a love that is persisting in the discomfort of the person experiencing the emotion. Ed Sheeran reflects on love lost, and although he wishes his former partner find happiness, he cannot but admit his feelings are still very much there. He expresses the realization that he might never find another on this stringed instrumental by Aaron Dessner.

Amazing
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
