Oh! Ellin what can I do

Oh! Ellin what can I do, there is nothing aside from you
Oh! Ellin what can I do, there is nothing aside from you

I hate to say I'm starting again to try
To Get you off of my mind
I must admit, it's so hard to do, oh Ellin, with no you by my side
I have the chance to land on my own two feet and, keep my chin off the ground
But now, your gone, I beat my self up about it, it sucks without you around,
It sucks when your not around

Oh! Ellin what can I do, there is nothing aside from you
Oh! Ellin, what can I lose, there's nothing aside from you

Oh, oh, oh, oh ,oh, oh!!!

I trace your steps, but I get lost, i bet it's what you had in mind,
And can't you see, that all is not well,
Oh Ellin, not since you left me behind,
I waste away, its miserable here, its stupid, to even try to pretend,
Cause when, you slip, my mind i start to panic,
I'm scared to lose you again, I'm scared I'll lose you again

Oh! Ellin what can I do, there is nothing aside from you
Oh! Ellin what can I lose, there's nothing aside from you
Oh! Ellin what can I do, there is nothing aside from you
Oh! Ellin what can I lose, there's nothing aside, aside from you

Oh! Ellin what can I do, there is nothing aside from you
Oh! Ellin, what can I do, there's nothing aside from you
There is nothing aside from you
There's nothing aside from you

Oh! Ellin what can I do, there is nothing aside from you
Oh! Ellin, what can I lose, there is nothing aside from you

Oh! (Oh!) Ellin (Ellin) what can I do, there is nothing aside from you
Oh! (Oh!) Ellin (Ellin) what can I lose(What can I lose), there's nothing aside from you
Oh! (Oh!) Ellin (Ellin) what can I do(What can I do), there's nothing aside from you
Oh! (Oh!) Ellin (Ellin) what can I lose(What can I lose), there's nothing aside from you

Ok, guess what. It's not about A guy asking his ex-girlfriend back out. It's pretty much not obvious if thats what youthink It's about. But in actaullity, Its about a Girl who left her boyfriend. And He hasn't seen her. It kills him everyday, Maybe she died, but basically he cant find her. Obviously he is trying to move on with his life.- " i hate to say i'm starting again to try to get you off of my mind i must admit it's so hard to do oh Ellin! with no you by my side" Obviously Those lyrics suggest it. So yeah retard learn what you're talking about. Any who, Obviously it isn't easy for him to move on and he is wasting away and becoming deeply depressed without Ellin around.

it reminds me of my friend whose girlfriend cheated on him five times with five different guys and he got the chance to go out with this really great girl who is also a friend of mine but he couldn't forget his ex despite everything that she'd done. it made me real sad cos he's a great guy who doesn't deserve to be treated like shit. i really just want to tell him to get on with his life and take a chance with my friend but he still can't forget his Ellin... sadness

This song is actually about losing a friend (could be girlfriend or childhood friend, either way) to death.

The Night We Met
Lord Huron
This is a hauntingly beautiful song about introspection, specifically about looking back at a relationship that started bad and ended so poorly, that the narrator wants to go back to the very beginning and tell himself to not even travel down that road. I believe that the relationship started poorly because of the lines: "Take me back to the night we met:When the night was full of terrors: And your eyes were filled with tears: When you had not touched me yet" So, the first night was not a great start, but the narrator pursued the relationship and eventually both overcame the rough start to fall in love with each other: "I had all and then most of you" Like many relationships that turn sour, it was not a quick decline, but a gradual one where the narrator and their partner fall out of love and gradually grow apart "Some and now none of you" Losing someone who was once everything in your world, who you could confide in, tell your secrets to, share all the most intimate parts of your life, to being strangers with that person is probably one of the most painful experiences a person can go through. So Painful, the narrator wants to go back in time and tell himself to not even pursue the relationship. This was the perfect song for "13 Reasons Why"

Son Şansın - Şarkı Sözleri
Hayalperest
This song seemingly tackles the methods of deception those who manipulate others use to get victims to follow their demands, as well as diverting attention away from important issues. They'll also use it as a means to convince people to hate or kill others by pretending acts of terrorism were committed by the enemy when the acts themselves were done by the masters of control to promote discrimination and hate. It also reinforces the idea that these manipulative forces operate in various locations, infiltrating everyday life without detection, and propagate any and everywhere. In general, it highlights the danger of hidden agendas, manipulation, and distraction, serving as a critique of those who exploit chaos and confusion to control and gain power, depicting a cautionary tale against falling into their traps. It encourages us to question the narratives presented to us and remain vigilant against manipulation in various parts of society.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Plastic Bag
Ed Sheeran
“Plastic Bag” is a song about searching for an escape from personal problems and hoping to find it in the lively atmosphere of a Saturday night party. Ed Sheeran tells the story of his friend and the myriad of troubles he is going through. Unable to find any solutions, this friend seeks a last resort in a party and the vanity that comes with it. “I overthink and have trouble sleepin’ / All purpose gone and don’t have a reason / And there’s no doctor to stop this bleedin’ / So I left home and jumped in the deep end,” Ed Sheeran sings in verse one. He continues by adding that this person is feeling the weight of having disappointed his father and doesn’t have any friends to rely on in this difficult moment. In the second verse, Ed sings about the role of grief in his friend’s plight and his dwindling faith in prayer. “Saturday night is givin’ me a reason to rely on the strobe lights / The lifeline of a promise in a shot glass, and I’ll take that / If you’re givin’ out love from a plastic bag,” Ed sings on the chorus, as his friend turns to new vices in hopes of feeling better.
