"Scared" as written by Adam Wade Gontier, Neil Sanderson, Brad Walst, Gavin Brown and Matt Walst....
At night I hear it creeping
At night I feel it move
I'll never sleep here anymore

I wish you never told me
I wish I never knew
I wake up screaming
It's all because of you

So real these voices in my head
When it comes back you won't be
Scared and Lonely
You won't be scared
You won't be scared and lonely
You won't be scared you won't be lonely

I think there's something out there
I think I heard it move
I've never felt like this before

I wish You never told me
I wish I never knew
I wake up screaming
It's all because of you

So real these voices in my head
When it comes back to you won't be
Scared and Lonely
You won't be scared
You won't be scared and lonely
You won't be scared you won't be lonely

General CommentTo me, this song i can relate to it, because when me and my gf had our own apartment, she had some guy over at our place for the week i was out of town

At night I hear it creeping
At night I feel it move
    Ill never sleep here anymore

I wish you never told me
    I wish I never knew
    I wake up screming

    Its all because of you

and everynight after she told me that i could not get the thoughts that were in my head and i could just picture them together in my apartment and i couldn't sleep there anymore

General CommentI think it's about something someone told him that has been fused into his memory. He can't get rid of that memory and now it haunts him whenever he tries to go to sleep.

General Commenti agree with hobbes67 i mean that what he basedly talking about and if it's not that then he must be talking about the fact that someone told him something and he can't deal with it

General CommentCreeping through the house, makes it sound like something that has always been there but he's just turned a blind eye to.

But then the part about wishing he never knew, makes it sound like something that happened that he didn't realize was bad and now that he realizes it's bad, he doesn't want to think about it. (an example... a child gets raped then they go to school and hear that when someone touches you this way it's wrong and suddenly they're like "OMG! I was raped!")

General CommentTo me it seems like it could be about schizophrenia or hearing voices.

'So real these voices in my head
When it comes back you wont be scared and lonely"

Saying that he's hearing voices in his head, and when he's scared and lonely he hears them and then maybe he's not scared and lonely anymore.

'I wish you never told me
    I wish I never knew
    I wake up screaming'

He's saying that he wishes no one ever told him that he had voices in his head, or that perhaps he's a schiz. He's saying he wish he never knew about it, and that it scares him and he wakes up screaming when he hears them in his dreams, perhaps?

Though, theres always a possibility that it could be about a child scared of sleeping in their room because of monsters in his room or something.

' At night I hear it creeping
At night I feel it move
Ill never sleep here anymore '

At night, the kid THINKS he's hearing monsters in his house and he thinks he's feeling it move around, and he never wants to sleep in his bed again so perhaps he goes to sleep in his parents room?

'I wish you never told me
    I wish I never knew
    I wake up screming'

A second meaning to this, with the monsters part, is that maybe someone told the kid about monsters? You know, scaring the kid into believing it's all true. He wishes he never knew 'monsters exist'.

    'Its all because of you
So real these voices in my head
When it comes back you wont be
    scared and lonely'

It's all the person who told him's fault. Because he believes in this monster so much he thinks he hears voices, he thinks they are 'so real'. And he thinks that when the monster comes back he wont be scared or lonely anymore because he'll run to his parent's room where he thinks he'll be safe.

'I know theres something out there
I think I hear it move
Ive never felt like this before '

He's convinced theres something out there. He THINKS he's hearing it, though maybe its something else but he doesn't realize or think of it that way. He's never felt that scared before.

Though, this is all just my interpretation but maybe I just have weird views on this song or something. :P

General CommentI went to see them in concert recently: Buzzfest 6, Nashville, Starwood Ampitheatre. They played this song and he explaind what it was about. When they were recording their first album they would spend long hours in the studio and sometimes spend the night. Apparently the studio was haunted or possesed because there was a spirit that would wake them up in the middle of the night making noises and such, hence the spooky lyrics.

General CommentYou're all wrong except themavrik.

When I saw Three Days Grace in concert, Adam said it's about this girl (I think he said her name was Emily) who haunted the place where they recorded the album, and "scared the shit" out of them.
