"Jesus On The Radio" as written by Donna Summer and Giorgio Moroder....
Five a.m., March sixteenth
Jesus on the radio
You took a photograph of me
On your yellow bucket seat
Its too high, its too wide
You're so low you don't know
To get through, to go around
So don't look back
There ain't nothing there to see
Was once like you
Can't say I recognize that face
In that picture that you keep
Its too high, its too wide
You're so low you don't know
To get through, to go around
To get through, to go around

General CommentI'm not sure what this one's about but it's definitely a Guster classic. They need to jam this song out a little more I think. The banjo is a nice touch.

I'm sorry... but this I just can't believe. It's not like Jews aren't allowed to talk about Jesus. Seriously- I'm Jewish, and I can talk about Jesus as much as I damn well please! :]

General CommentI dont think the jesus part has anything to do with the actual meaning of the song, since the working title was "singing with the radio" I think they just put the jesus in the continue being ironic like they like to do
As for the song, I think its about someone who has sunk to a low point in their life and is looking back at who they used to be.

General CommentI think I've finally figured this song out, and like that person above me with all the toggle caps said, I don't think it's got much of anything to do with Jesus. That's just sort of painting a background picture of the setting.

I'm picturing this guy looking back on a road trip with a friend a few years ago. Now he's changed ("can't say I recognize that face" --in the photograph of HIM), and he's grown apart from the friend (or gf, if you prefer), and the distance between them now is "too high, too wide, to get through," etc.

Personally, I'm thinking that he is in a better, not worse, place than he used to be, but I can't exactly figure out why I think that.

General Comment^^ Oh, yeah, and I'm half Jewish. Does that mean that I'm allowed to mention Jesus, but not really discuss him in depth? I hope I didn't cross any lines up there.

General Commentrigil...im not saying that you cant talk about Jesus, but why would you talk about him if you do not believe in him? What could you possibly say?
