"Hanging On For Hope" as written by and Matthew Pryor....
Are you hanging on for hope?
The clock strikes past the hour.
Is the pain enough to choke the life out?
You may never get to sleep.

Your time is not your time tonight.
Her smile will make you weak and proud.
Do you ever miss her?
Do you feel the cold wind whisper?

Is there anything more deafening?
Are you hanging on for hope?
It's all you've got worth living for.
Is it much too much to cope the road out?

There's a tension when we speak.
The income's overrated but it's worth it when we meet on common ground.
Do you ever miss her?
Do you feel the cold wind whisper?

Is there anything.
Do you ever cower when the clock strikes past the hour?
Is there anything more deafening?
Are you hanging on for hope?

It's all you got, it's all you got.
I miss you more that you could know when I'm gone.

General CommentThis song is amazing. They dropped Worse For The Wear the day after i had broken up with my girlfriend of 3 years. I was listening to the album as something to get my mind off everything..well needless to say when track 05 came on and the line, "Do you ever miss her? Do you feel the cold wind whisper?" I was close to just turning the stereo off...and then the last line went.." I miss you more that you could know when I'm gone." I let it play, slightly in tears...

General CommentIt's like making tough decisions and dealing with the consequences. You always hope for the best outcome, but sometimes there are unavoidable heartaches along the way, and often all you are left with is a ghost of what you had before.

General CommentI think it's absolutely lovely. While it really speaks for itself, it's heartwrenching. I adore it deeply. It's a fundamental song of loss.

General CommentYou know, I think this is one of the most beautifully sad songs I've ever heard. I first heard it on a CD that my brother burned for me in the fall, after my girlfriend and I had just broke up. I didn't sit around crying and drinking boxed red wine to it like some 40-year-old recently divorced housewife, but it did really punctuate how I felt at the time and all, at that particular time of year ("Do you ever miss her? Do you feel the cold wind whisper?").

Anyway, I've got nothing to contribute as to its meaning (I think the meaning is pretty clear anyhow), but if anyone knows where I can get a guitar tab for it, please e-mail me (hottmaledotcomm@hotmail.com).

General CommentI think it's about a girl who died "Do you ever miss her?" and "Are you hanging on for hope?, it's all you got worth living for,"
