"Hooch" as written by Deryck Jason Whibley, Stephen Martin Jocz, Jason Paul Mccaslin, Dave Baksh and Greig Andrew Nori....
Its your last chance to find yourself in consequence
Its so hard to find a simple reason
Maybe I'll find myself with evidence
Hate breeds with nothing to believe in
Another day another day in paradise
If you only knew wouldn't it be nice
Get away Get away Get away I'm about to detonate

Everything to prove
Nothing to lose
Cause when everything has fallen to the ground
Gonna knock it down
Just believe me when I tell you its alright

This time were on our way to tragedy
Forever bored and outside from the in crowd
I've come to grips with confronting my reality
Numbstruck its me against the world now
For all you know for all you know its never real
Spare me the obsession that you deal
Get away Get away Get away I'm about to detonate

Everything to prove
Nothing to lose
Cause when everything has fallen to the ground
Gonna knock it down
Just believe me when I tell you its alright

I should've known right from the start
That you'd take this trust and rip me apart
Could be a change of heart

I'll fall into you, but don't believe that this is real

General Commenti think this is a guy who's held in his feelings and is passive and he's "about to detonate" and explode w/his true feelings towards ppl.
and when he says "just believe me when i tell you it's alright" i would say that they really aren't and he's got something to say, but again is being passive.

Lots of aggression in this song. isn't it great?

General CommentThis song for me is about a guy that has such negative feelings about the world, his life and a relationship. He so wants to believe and accept what he has is 'paradise' but he cant block out the voice in his head. The final phase of the song, repeating 'ill fall into you, but dont believe this is real' is his realisation that he's falling for someone yet at the same time cannot believe this is happening to him

what makes this song great, is it goes from hardcore punk to a ballard, and its beautiful and harmonic. it could be said this change of pace is the protagonists attitude, at first its 100mph his minds racing and when the uncertaintitys become clear hes calm and at ease

General CommentApparently this song is about how innocent people are blamed for others' actions. I don't know how the hell the end deals with this but I like the change in tempo and style.

General Commentthis song is about mixed feelings and emotions caused by drinking.
Hooch is illegal alcohol. Arguably one of Sums best songs IMO.

General Commentthere is a mistake in the lyrics.
    the part:"everything to lose
    nothing to prove" is wrong.
    it´s " everything to prove
    nothing to lose"
    I really love this song.
