"Til I Get Over You" as written by Michelle Branch and John Shanks....
Every time I feel alone
I can blame it on you
And I do, oh
You've got me like a loaded gun
Golden sun and sky so blue
We both know that we want it
But we both know you left me no choice

[Chorus]
(chaque fois que tu ton va)
You just bring me down
(je pretend que tu fais bien)
So I'm counting my tears 'til I get over you

Sometimes I watch the world go by
I wonder what it's like
To wake up every single day
Smile on your face
You never tried
We both know we can't change it
But we both know we'll just have to face it

[Chorus]

If only I could give you up
But would I want to let you off of this soapbox baby?
We both know that we want it
But we both know you left me no choice

[Chorus]

(chaque fois que tu ton va)
(je pretend que tu fais bien)

We both know that I'm not over you
I'm not over you

General CommentI love the sigh at the end; it's the perfect finishing touch to such a sad song.

General CommentThis is a nearly perfect breakup song. My only complaint is that the French is so terribly annunciated. I didn't know it was French until I read the booklet. I thought she was singing 'Shut the f^@k up dude, or die.' Which still amuses me to no end....

General CommentThis is probably my favorite song on the album save for Are You Happy Now, and again it just shows how much she's matured since her last album. She is not the little girl that she was; she's grown up. Still, though, she can't get over this guy. There are a couple of lines in French in the chorus which are "chaque fols que tu ton va, le pretend que tu fais bien", It means "every time ou walk away, I pretend that I'm okay"

General Commentyou got the the lyrics wrong in a few spots...
the second stanza is "we both know that we want it / but we both know you left me no choice"
the seventh stanza is "if only I could give you up / but would I want to let you off this soapbox baby?"
and then, "we both know that we want it / but we both know you left me no choice"

General CommentThis is a nice song. This CD is definitely more mature than her last one. I just wanted to point out that the French is incorrect. It should be "Chaque fois que tu t'en vas, je pretend que tu vas bien"
That's actually what she's singing. The booklet is wrong! :P (Sorry, I'm a French dork)

General CommentYou left the french out. But yeah, I love this song. "Sometimes I watch the world go by, and wonder what it's like, to wake up every single day, smile on your face, you never tried" I always wonder what its like to wake up smiling everyday. I see people that are always happy, and I never am, it makes me so jealous. Great song.
