"Stay Don't Go" as written by and Daniel Britt....
Keep believing the things that you tell yourself
Everyone needs something they can tell themselves
To hold on to cause after all of it's said and done

Confession is stay don't go
Ooh it is
Ooh now stay don't go

At times you find that the truth is the best way out
Sometimes telling the truth is the best way out
And it's the wrong words that make you prick up your ears
When later alone

Confession is stay don't go
Ooh it is
Ooh now stay don't go

General CommentKill the Moonlight is an amazing album and should make Spoon really famous....but i dont think it has. It sucks especially for them because theyre making great music.

General CommentAny song where beatboxing provides the main percussion is fine by me.

General CommentDid the drummer, like, quit? What the fuck. No dice, Spoon. I love you, but you've betrayed me.

General CommentThe drummer didn't quit he's there on the album, they just tried experimenting with different song structures. That's admirable. I like Spoon, they're probably one of the only bands that is still makng new material that I listen to. Since I have this big vendetta against most "new music" these days.

General CommentActually, I read somewhere what happened was that Britt Daniel (lead) was staying in this appartment in Connecticut where he goes when he needs to write a lotta songs. Anyway, it was just him and his multitrack and he needed a drum beat for this song and so he just beatboxed it...then he ended up liking it and put it in the final recording. Great song...

General CommentGreat production on this song. The best thing about Spoon is the way they make such expressive and intricate songs with such minimal elements. Listen to this song or "Paper Tiger". The melodies are original and interesting and inventive, and they never repeat themselves.
