in storybooks children grow up to become leaders. innocence leads our young to fall victim to (we're not your slaves) the disadvantages our parents brought before them. grow up fast and lose sight of becoming an influence (and i'll never sleep, i'll never sleep again) they stole our innocence, they broke our foundation. broken by production, released at ten. before you kill your idols, kiss them goodnight. after birth the hand that feeds may bleed. transformers for abuse. legos build the outcome whether its mental or physical, before you kill your idols, kiss them goodnight. mother i'll bleed for you, as father bled for me...

General Commentholy bajezzee. im surprised no one has said anything...well its only been up a few days. this song speaks to me more than any other asl song. it reminds me of the same themes i hear in thursday's autobiography of a nation. it tells of the corruption of civilization in general, of raising our youth to live in a society of greed, material production, and submission to greater powers. thats just what i hear. but i think there is more to it, too.

General CommentThis song means to me that in these days children are raised to be an exact copy of their parents.
also means to me that the children these days will be our hated political leaders of tomorrow

General Commentoh dear, kids these days... Kill Your Idols is a great band that unfortunatley and ignorantly got name checked by these lame asshats. You see Kill Your Idols don't need to be kissed, they would murder these sluts in thier sleep and then write a song about it that conveys 10 times more emotion yet isn't cheesy shitty and poorly written. Oh man, fucking lame! get a clue kids!

General CommentAll I can say is, "Kill Your Idols" was definately not taken from some anonymous band's name. I've heard that phrase many times before I'd ever heard of that band. So fuck off. The writing of this song is good enough. It makes more sense if it's read with some grammar to make it sound good in writing. Listen to the song? It's great. Intensity is there. The objective of the lyrics? Worthy. More than. What the fuck does the band you're talking about have on ASL?
