"Superstar II" as written by Paul Allen Crosby, Christopher Jon Dabaldo, David A. Novotny, Joseph Scott Sappington and Wayne A. Swinny....
Been floating around up here on Cloud 11.
I did my best to make it to 27.
Open up my eyes and I can see the glory.
Now I'm alive and I'm gonna tell the story.
Now I'm a superstar in the making.
I ain't fucking around and there ain't no mistaking.
I never ask for something worth the taking.
'Cause I'm a superstar, baby.
No crying-ass bitching about my wife or girlfriend.
'Cause in my life I can't have either one.
No crying-ass bitching about my evil parents.
They did their best to raise their only son.
Now I'm a superstar in the making.
I ain't fucking around and there ain't no mistaking
I never ask for something worth the taking.
Cause I'm a superstar, baby.
I'm on the rise.
I'm feeling fine.
Boom
Here come the real motherfuckers from the south
Now I'm a superstar in the making.
I ain't fucking around and there ain't no mistaking.
I never ask for something worth the taking.
'Cause I'm a superstar, baby

General Commenti think the original "Superstar" was about his quest for rock-stardom, and this song is the follow up, about him actually making it.
although, this song kinda takes place midway, he doesnt say he IS a star, he says he's "a superstar in the making". do i smell a superstar III?

I'm guessing that means that, being a superstar, he doesn't have time for relationships....?

General CommentI love how he pokes fun at the P.O.D. song "Boom". Even though I love P.O.D., I think Saliva rocks harder and it made me laugh the first time I heard Josey say "BOOM, here comes the real motherfuckers from the South." Its great.

General Commentlol same here. the first time I heard Josey say that I immediatly started to think of that P.O.D. song. That and the guitar/bass work in this bridge is kinda similar to P.O.D's bridge..I had to listen to both at once.

General CommentIf anyone lsitens to Superstar, then you'll know that he is on a sort of "quest" for becoming a rock star. Superstar II is Josey's way of saying that he will bcome big and he's already on his way to becoming a rock star.
But of course now, Saliva is big and Josey has clearly hit superstardom.
