I don't care if your world is ending today
I wasn't invited to it anyway
You said I tasted famous, so I drew you a heart
But now I'm not an artist I'm a fucking work of art
I've got an F and a C and I got a K too
And the only thing missing is a bitch like you

You wanted perfect
You got your perfect
But now I'm too perfect for someone like you
I was a dandy in your ghetto with
A snow white smile and you'll
Never be as perfect whatever you do
What's my name, what's my name?
Hold the S because I am an ain't
What's my name, what's my name?
Hold the S because I am an ain't

I am a bone top, a death's head
On a mop stick
You infected me, took diamonds
I took all your shit
Your "sell-by date" expired,
So you had to be sold
I'm a suffer-genius and
Vivi-sex symbol.

You wanted perfect
You got your perfect
But now I'm too perfect for someone like you
I was a dandy in your ghetto with
A snow white smile and you'll
Never be as perfect whatever you do
What's my name, what's my name?
Hold the S because I am an ain't
What's my name, what's my name?
Hold the S because I am an ain't

I've got an F and a C and I got a K too
And the only thing missing is a bitch like you
I've got an F and a C and I got a K too
And the only thing missing is a bitch like you
I am a dandy in the ghetto with a snow white smile
Super-ego bitch, I've been evil awhile
I am a dandy in the ghetto with a snow white smile
Super-ego bitch, I've been evil awhile
What's my name, what's my name?
Hold the S because I am an ain't
What's my name, what's my name?
Hold the S because I am an ain't

It bothers me greatly how you all come to these assumptions and conclusions as to what the song means to the artist, when you've no idea what was going on in their head at the time of composing it. Unless you heard it from Manson's own mouth, it seems rather ignorant to advertize bitterness towards Trent or Rose as the actual meaning. If you're not even going to research your facts, then why not just say what the song means to you instead of feeding others false information? From what black hole in the numerous circles of hell was the idea that it was meant to piss off Twiggy pulled from?

"Outburn Magazine: In one of your new songs, you say, “I'm not an artist, I'm a fucking work of art.” Does that ring a bell?

Marilyn Manson: That's a song called “(s)AINT.” A lot of people are like, “Is that song about your ex-girlfriend or is it about this person...” I think everyone misses the point that the song's about me. It's about everyone expecting me to fit into their definition of perfect and pointing out that success doesn't change the fact that people always demand something from you. In fact, sometimes it could be worse, because there's a lot of pain and pressure that everyone sees with anyone's career to maintain something that is great and to not let it expire. That song throws out a bitter sarcastic element that is directed to people who don't understand what I do, and a lot of people don't want to dismiss me. A lot people have a hard time saying, "Hey, that's actually good," which I find a lot. I don't take it as an insult, because if I wasn't myself, I'd quite possibly dislike someone like me also, buy only because I think that what I do is good and I get away with it."

Marilyn Manson is much like the Edgar Allen Poe of modern music. His songs are all caked with many metaphors and such. His songs, his albums, and his overall message that he sends to the world are meant to be understood on an extremely esoteric level. He only wants people who are philosophically alike to him to understand him.

I won't analyze all the meanings of the lyrics to this song but I will tell you some: This song is about the evils of conformism foremost, and the evils of Hollywood, for lack of a better word. This song is a message to Hollywood and to the rest of the world who aren't like, who said he could never surive without being like them, without being perfect. This song is, in my opinion, the antithesis of his song New Model No. 15. In this song, (s)Ain't he lashes out that he is true perfection, by the fact that he is unique and different than anyone. He is perfekt. This is a "fuck you" song, its not that deep really. I've given you enough infro to lsightly understand, I'll leave it at that. You figure out the rest.

I want to also state that what he shows us in the clip is exactly this and nothing more, and this is what he said it was: It shows that fame and power, being a rock superstar that is, isn't all glamour and wonderful, that it can also be a bitch.

I think this song is about how people use him. He's telling all the people who use him to fuck off.Which is very common in Holywood... oops I mean hollywood.

I though it sounded like "I got an SMG & I got a K2 & the only thing that's missing is a bitch like you." instead of "I got an 'F' and a 'C' and I got a 'K' too and the only thing that's missing is a bitch like yoU."

SMG's & K2's are both guns..Either way it will still make sense..

    My Interpretation

I think this is a great big FUCK YOU to the record company. And perhaps him telling Hollywood, "You want me to be perfect? Well, now I am, but too bad, I'm too good for you now."

«I don't care if your world is ending today I wasn't invited to it anyway »

This is to me in referecences to the fact that the world was never made for him, can also be find in

«In The Shadow of the valley of death»

«This was never my world you took the angel away»

«You said I tasted famous, so I drew you a heart But now I'm not an artist I'm a fucking work of art »

Marilyn Manson didn't make the society, the society made Marilyn Manson, it really refers to the basic things to now about him. Tortured by a lot of things in his personal life that leads him to be what he is, to be a work of art.

«I've got an F and a C and I got a K too And the only thing missing is a bitch like yoU »

I don't know how to explain it but it is a very good play words in which he introduce (in my opinion) «FUCK» in the sexual meaning but also in the meaning of «being fuck by someone» 'use'. In my opinion also link with the song para-noir:

«The girls that «Fucked» him I fuck you to be famous I fuck you for your money I fuck you so I can feel something I fuck you to have a place to stay I fuck you because I'm your whore I fuck you for fun etc...»

«You wanted perfekt You got your perfekt But now I'm too perfekt for someone like you »

The interesting thing about that is that he uses the «perfekt» german word to refer to the nazi germany perfection and associate it with the perfection of the people that wanted him to be perfect for their uses on him.

«I was a dandy in your ghetto with A snow white smile and you'll Never be as perfekt whatever you do»

In references to «Elizabeth Short» who was victim of a terrible murder that manson associated with the «snow white» when she was asleep (in the wald disney movie) and looking like an «Elizabeth Short» picture taken after her murder in the autopsy table.

«What's my name, what's my name? Hold the S because I am an AINT What's my name, what's my name? Hold the S because I am an AINT »

To me this is in the idea of requestioning if someone is a «saint» or aint be a saint that he associated with himself. (s)AINT

«I am a bonetop, a death's head On a mopstick You infected me, took diamonds I took all your shit »

The «diamonds» (in references to the hypocrite things that people gave to others and make it look like if it has value which is in fact «Shit»)

«Your "sell-by date" expired, So you had to be sold »

I don't know what this reffers too.

    «I'm a suffer-genius and Vivi-sex symbol. »

«Suffer-genius» suffering for being so intelligent and misunderstood (this isn't very clear I know but this is my idea) Vivi-section means an «alive-dissection» so vivi, vivus in latin wich refers to alive and sex, so the two at the same time obviously an alive «sex-symbol». The fact that this word came from latin maybe means that he's creating a paradox between the old representation of god and tarrot (of sex for example) and that now he became one. (just an hypothesis)

«I am a dandy in the ghetto with a snow white smile Super-ego bitch, I've been evil awhile I am a dandy in the ghetto with a snow white smile Super-ego bitch, I've been evil awhile »

I think this reffers to the german “super-ago” (uber-ich in german) wich refers to a form of narassicism related to your ideas and the people that you consider as “parents” and which you take from a “super-ego” idealism from.

I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Mountain Song
Jane's Addiction
Jane's Addiction vocalist Perry Farrell gives Adam Reader some heartfelt insight into Jane’s Addiction's hard rock manifesto "Mountain Song", which was the second single from their revolutionary album Nothing's Shocking. Mountain song was first recorded in 1986 and appeared on the soundtrack to the film Dudes starring Jon Cryer. The version on Nothing's Shocking was re-recorded in 1988. "'Mountain Song' was actually about... I hate to say it but... drugs. Climbing this mountain and getting as high as you can, and then coming down that mountain," reveals Farrell. "What it feels to descend from the mountain top... not easy at all. The ascension is tough but exhilarating. Getting down is... it's a real bummer. Drugs is not for everybody obviously. For me, I wanted to experience the heights, and the lows come along with it." "There's a part - 'Cash in now honey, cash in Miss Smith.' Miss Smith is my Mother; our last name was Smith. Cashing in when she cashed in her life. So... she decided that, to her... at that time, she was desperate. Life wasn't worth it for her, that was her opinion. Some people think, never take your life, and some people find that their life isn't worth living. She was in love with my Dad, and my Dad was not faithful to her, and it broke her heart. She was very desperate and she did something that I know she regrets."

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

Ed Sheeran
There aren’t many things that’ll hurt more than giving love a chance against your better judgement only to have your heart crushed yet again. Ed Sheeran tells such a story on “Page.” On this track, he is devastated to have lost his lover and even more saddened by the feeling that he may never move on from this.
