"Caught In The Rain" as written by Robert Wayne Davis, Nathaniel Joseph Cox, Justin Keith Holman and Robert Bruce Thiemann....
Is it real?
We're always the same
We're almost undone now
I was caught in the rain, wastin' my time on the ground.
Waiting the call of what would you say and can you come over?
I was caught in the rain, wastin' my time on the ground.

It was you
Who could get me high with whatever you say
You're tellin' me something real
What we do doesn't matter now
Whatever it takes for you to stay with me

Trading thoughts across from the room
I saw you surrounded
I was caught in rain, wastin' my time on the ground.
Feeling us fall, without an escape
I almost let you down
I was caught in the rain, wastin' my time on the ground.

It was you
Who could get me high with whatever you say
You're tellin' me something real
What we do doesn't matter now
Whatever it takes for you to stay with me

General CommentThis is just an impression...could be totally wrong...but it seems like caught in the rain is symbolic of bad times, not being happy...when it says it was you who could get me high, maybe it's referring to this person who could get them literally high off the ground, above the clouds and out the the dull, feelingless, depression of the "rain." Caught in the rain wasting my time on the ground could refer to the low when they are apart, and getting high could be the emotional high of being with the person.

General CommentGreat tune. It's about someone being at a low point in there life and then finding someone that makes them feel like they are living the high life again, makes them forget all their worries, and helps them get out of the rain.

General CommentTo me; "Caught In The Rain" is the the trying times and tribulations of a man who was attached to a lover; lost her; and couldn't deal with it. This lead eventually lead him to put himself in some bad situations, and realizes it before it's too late. I love this song, it's inspired me to move on from my battles with depression and lead a more engaged life.

General Commentthink its about being in love with a junkie.
the junkie is in the rain.
to get "caught in the rain" means to bring yourself to this persons place. its rainy there. but, they could still get them high even though it was in the rain.
    metaphoric.

General CommentIt's when you're in a bad place, and someone comes along, and makes you see that things aren't as bad as they seem.

General CommentIt's about a person feeling really down, but they finally meet someone that make them feel, and they'll do anything to keep that person.
