"Zoe Jane" as written by and Aarron/mushok Lewis....
Well I want you to notice
To notice when I'm not around
To notice your eyes see straight through me
And speak to me without a sound

I wanna hold you
Protect you from all of the things I've already endured
And I wanna show you
Show you all the things that this life has in
Store for you
And I'll always love you
The way that a father should love his daughter

When I woke up this morning
I cried as I walked to the door
I cried about how long I'll be away for
I cried about leaving you all alone

Sweet Zoe Jane
Sweet Zoe Jane

So I wanted to say this
'Cause I wouldn't know where to begin
To explain to you what I have been through
To explain where your daddy has been

Sweet Zoe Jane
Sweet Zoe Jane

    General CommentAwesome!!!
I often cry listening to this cd but this song it's one of the best. The lyrics go straight to my soul and my heart. It reminds a lot of bad souvenirs. For the meaning of this song well...it talks about his child Zoe which he try to love as much as a father should do and that it hurts him to leave her. He want to explain her what's life all about. Aaron your'e my IDOL! The cd is undiscriptible!! So much emotions in each song.

General CommentThis song is hard for me to listen to-love it

Aaron's voice makes this song-you can hear the love for his daughter in his voice, and you can hear and feel the pain as he fears the hard things she'll have to deal with in lifeand how he hates to leave her.

    simply beautiful

General Commentthis song is amazing. my dad bought this cd first, and we listened to this song together and were both like..."that's us" it's pretty obvious what the song means.

General CommentWow ... I'm speechless to this song ... I cried to a few songs on this cd including this one ...there's so much I can say about it, but the msg board will get loaded down and you'll get a 404! ;)

A song written to his daughter Zoe Jane, who was also born on the day that Layne Staley died, RIP Layne, I love ya man and will never forget about you.

This song is just so great ... I can just listen to it over and over again, and you can also substitute "Zoe Jane" for whoever your b/f or g/f is and sing them the song, they'll love you for it, hehe

General CommentZoe Jane is straightforward. I really don't want to explain it because I believe it is right there already spelled out in the lyrics. Nothing cryptic, just love and the want of love from father to daughter.

General CommentI just got this CD for my birthday and it is so lovely. he obviously loves his daughter unconditionally and what a way to tell her!
14 shades of grey is more positive than break the cycle but just as good - if not better.

General CommentMy dad got this Cd the week it came out and the night he got it he sat all his girls down and we listened to it before the end of the song we were all in tears.
And we realized my father protect us from all the things he's already been through and he's kept reminders thier for us of all the things we have in store for us.
This song gets me every time! probablt one of thier best songs!
