"Rapid Hope Loss" as written by and Christopher Andrew Carrabba....
You called to say you wanted out.
Well, I can't say I blame you now.
Sometimes you've got to fold
Before you're found out.
Well thanks for waiting this long
To show yourself.

'Cause now that I can see you,
I don't think you're worth a second glance.

So much for all the promises you made,
They served you well.
Now you're gone and they're wasted on me.

So much for your endearing sense of charm,
It served you well.
Now you've gone and they're wasted on me.

I guess that all you've got
Is all you're gonna get.

General CommentGood song in my opinion. The song is kinda 'in-your-face, you-suck' type thing

General Commentbitter song... realizing you dont need someone anymore because they're more of a problem than a solution...

"Do what you must if that's what you wish
    I can't be a party to this
If you have the sense that you were born with
You'll find a way to make things right"

that what I got out of the unclear verse

    General Commentoh and

"You've come to say you want it all"

    should be:

"You called to say you wanted out"

in both cases in the song.

General CommentThis song is okay, but cant ya'll tell that he has a new sound to his songs! It didnt seem to have as much feeling, its like hes trying to fit in now and reform with all the other Alternative music.

General CommentI agree that the older dashboard had a unique sound to it, and the new dashboard is just like so many other bands. It's not bad, just no longer a single voice screaming behind his guitar (and I do miss it). But anyway, this is probably my favorite song off the new record. I always heard the lyrics as "so much for so much more...", which even if false, twists my heart oh so much more.

General Commenti thought it was "sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out" as in a reference to poker

General CommentI really like this song and the way its so honest.... it is about all relationships that end with a break-up where one person is confused and wants out while the other person is still completely in love, but are trying to be understanding and are in denial of their true sadness of the situation! I've been there so that's why i like the song so much lol

General Commentyeah these lyrics are wrong on many levels, whoever posted them. The actual lyrics are "so much for so much more." and it is "sometimes you've got to fold before you're found out", along with "You've called to say you wanted out." hooray to screwin up lyrics. great song, good song to listen to when ur pissed at the significant other ;)
