"One (Metallica Cover)" as written by Daniel Bedingfield and Sharam Tayebi....
I can't remember anything
Can't tell if this is true or dream
Deep down inside I feel to scream
This terrible silence stops in me
Now that the war is through with me
I'm waking up, I cannot see
That there is not much left of me
Nothing is real but pain now
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, wake me
Back in the womb it's much too real
In pumps life that I must feel
But can't look forward to reveal
Look to the time when I'll live
Fed through the tube that sticks in me
Just like a wartime novelty
Tied to machines that make me be
Cut this life off from me
Hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, wake me
Now the world is gone I'm just one
Oh God, help me hold my breath as I wish for death
Oh please God, help me
Darkness imprison me
All that I see
Absolute horror
I cannot live
I cannot die
Trapped in myself
Body my holding cell
Landmine Has taken my sight
Taken my speech
Taken my hearing
Taken my arms
Taken my legs
Taken my soul
Left me with life in hel

General CommentIts based on a film. Somone walked on a lland mine, and lost there arms, legs, eyes, ears, and ability to speak. this is about praying for death.

General Commentsounds like someones in a coma- physically or mentally. maybe, they feel as if they are isolated from the world or they are depending on machines and devices to live. or maybe they feel as if they are mentally dependent-- they need something to keep feeling alive.

    this song is kinda wierd..

General CommentThis is an incredible cover of my personal favourite Metallica song (and one of my favourite songs ever--really helped get me into metal and I turned into a Metallica fan after hearing it). I like Metallica's version more, but whatever--this is great

The song was based off of a book/film called Johnny Got his Gun. the protagonist is physically mutilated in war and can no longer communicate or feel anything. He is hooked up to morse code and he demands that people kill him.

THe Metallica music video for this song is amazing and was one of the most controversial videos of the 80's. it used footage of the film, Johnny got his gun
