"Danger" as written by Arion Salazar, Anthony J. Fredianelli, Stephan Jenkins and Brad Hargreaves....
I met you at the barricade
It's fever pitch where the crowd had gathered
You said the bow is breaking
You want to get some coffee or something

Float by the crowd that scatters
I found my people and nothing else matters
Bullhorns feed back in stormy skies
No one listens but it's so hot when you try

You've got a taste for danger
It turns you on
Just take a look in your face
I know what's going on
You got a taste for danger

Tiptoe through the riots
Vandals laced and braced for action
No sense, no consequence
You're a green stick fracture
Bounce back at you

Beggars stare at the brand new sneakers on the
Anarchists and celebrity speakers
These are improbable days my friends
Tomorrow's mundane
All good things must end
And the cops told the crown they must disperse
Your pretty eyes fall as the tear gas burst
Here come the horses and we move along
Promise I'll see you but the moment is gone

You're shocked when the spray can splatters
Deliver us from the chumps and suckers
You and me killing time in the present tense
Bound together by someone to fight against

I used to be a dissident citizen

General CommentWhile browsing for reviews and such, I found that the majority of people hate this song. I thought that maybe I too would hate this song so I listened to it multiple times. Instead of cultivating a hatred, I found that I liked this song. Then I decided to read into it and that that would be pertinent to a lyrics analysis page such as this. As a student of the U of Minnesota and an avid fan and participator of the hockey riots, it didn't take me long to empathize with this song. Stephan's bee-yatch is obsessed with a girl that is into getting into danger; wether it is gettting into riots or getting her ass banged. While this song is predicated upon the fact of attending riots and ultimately facing danger, the girl of this tune ends up "losing her taste for danger." Like the line in Pulp Fiction, when his woman loses her taste for danger so does the narrrator as indicated in the repeated line of "I used to be a dissident citizen." When all is said and done, the relationship loses its potency when the flair for danger dissapears.

General CommentI agree with you this song is so cool but obviously not a lot of people must listen to it due to the 2 responses now.

General CommentThis song is bad ass. I think people don't like it because it's kind of like a new, unique sound for Third Eye Blind. This is my second favorite song off of the new album, Out of the Vein, next to "My Hit and Run." It is a very unique outlook on a relationship and it just has a tune that makes you want to get up and experience some sort of danger. I like the new sound they are developing and think that their new album is really good, not quite the first, but I enjoy it more than Blue.

General CommentYeah, I just think it's different from what they usually do and people didn't take to it quickly... anyway, i think this guy may have followed this girl around, she was a bad ass girl always doing stupid stuff protesting and whatnot maybe, getting in trouble, and he though shed like him more if he was like that too... in the end her love of danger turned out to be a passing interest. A lot of people try to be someone they're not because they're trying to impress someone

General CommentThis was on the first Charmed soundtrack, which was where I heard it, and it's one of my faves on the album. I absolutely adore this song. I don't see how others can't.

    My OpinionDeep Inside of You
"I'd walk with my people if I could find them"

"I found my people and nothing else matters"

    Anyone else think that's intentional?
