Medio-core
It's not forsaken
The music they're makin'
Will leave you with a feeling of indifference
How was the band?
They were okay (okay)
Not great (all right)
But pretty good
They played the songs I knew they would
Some old
Some new
The same formula stays true
We can concur
It's medio-core

Sing
Sing a song
Make it simple
So all the kids can sing along (ahh)
Sing along (ahh)

The list keeps growin'
The melodies been stolen
Remind me of songs sung in the 70's
You might fool the kids
But you don't fool me
Have you ever heard of something called
aboriginality?

Is it absurd
To compose music no one's ever heard
Predictability
Like a bussom will comfort them
My one true foe
L.C.D.

(Medio-core) It's under powered
The riffs are all deflowered
(Medio-core) It's spreading faster
Than British tooth decay
(Medio-core) Are you ready to rock?
How ya'll doing tonight?
(Medio-core) You condescending fucks
Make me wanna laugh and puke at the same time.
(Medio-core)
I want to speak
This song sounds like fifteen you've heard before
Medio-core

Sing
Sing a song
Make it simple
So all the kids can sing along (ahh)
Sing along (ahh)

    General CommentWow, you're an idiot.

Anyway, this song is a reaction to shitty bands like the Strokes and the Vines that do nothing but rip-off old bands.

General Commenti love this song. it shows kind of a more sad/serious side of NOFX. i dunno. it seems that they hit some kool chords and i love mikes voice in this song. kool i love the line, "how was the band? they were ok. not great, but pretty good, they played the songs i knew they would." its so simple but i like it a lot.

General CommentThe song is irony....they're singing about themselves.

General CommentThe above comments have pretty much covered it up, and by the way in case you didn't know 'Medio-Core' is a play on how all these bands are calling themselves 'Emo-Core'/'Metal-Core'/'Jazz-Core' etc - trying to be different and Fat Mike is just like, how bout' 'Medio-core'... :D

General Commentthanx for that comment iceyflame..i was seriously wondering about that...i thought they just did that for no reason...
well i love this song the ending part where they say medio-core over and over again while they r singin...awsum...
well yes, i can relate to this as well **surprise surprise** i hav been disappointed with bands...they were GREAT, but they shoud have been UNREAL..mediocore...i use that word a lot now ..instead of sayin ok!!

hmmm great song..great message..so true about how bands rip-off songs and how heaps of songs sound EXACTLY the same....wat frustrates me is when bands whine about their poor lil broken hearts damn thats annoyin..I DON'T CARE IF UR HEART IS BROKEN OR UR GF LEFT U...
