"Daybreak" as written by and Nestor M. Torres....
A censored write up on love in yesterday's paper
Left me feeling lonely
As rotten paper falls from my notebook
I had to bring myself to pick up my jaw

You can't stop daybreak, daybreak

Well In the back of my mind she sits
With her arms around his chest
If I had four hands
I could hold you like you wanted
And I'd give you my soul
To see that it's been sold
That it's been sold
That it's been sold
That it's been sold

You can't stop daybreak
With your voice inside
Scribbled on an empty sidewalk through his life
Flipping page by page
Looking up so far down

You can't stop daybreak, daybreak

From her looks of despair
From this

General Commentthis song is SPECTACULAR. word has it [well on the cd jacket] that this song was in fact written by the other guitarist [not lead Nick Torres] Tyler Odom. Thats crazy cause these lyrics aren't AS abstract as the usual ones but there still really awesome. This song kicks butt just like the rest of the Cd. These guys will be huge. Support them now so some puck-ass moron doesn't call you a fake-teeny-bopper fan when there's 300 posts in this lyric. Go Northstar. And i think the song is another one about the crappy angst of 'love'.

General CommentI love this song. northstar never ceases to amaze me. if there's ever 300 posts here by fake-teeny-bopper TRL fans, I think I might cry. their musicality. their lyrics. I love everything about this band.

General CommentI find that with this band, you can't pull apart the lyrics and analyzing them...it seems to kill the music. I'm a huge fan of thinking about lyrics to the extreme, but these are just amazing without the thought, and they are what they are. They are abstract, and i love it. Northstar is awesome!

General CommentI loooove this band, just started listening to them a few days ago..then found out their gonna be on the Brand New tour and later the Midtown tour starting right after those 2 shows are done with Pittsburgh...oh well...
Anyways this is definitely one of the greatest songs, dont really know what it means but I like it better that way with some songs

General CommentThe writer compares moving on (after being left for someone else) to daybreak in that the sun will always rise and set and the world won't stop for his little romantic mishap.

    kick ass song

General Commentwow, this song is amazing. i really like how the tempo slows down for a few parts towards the end. it really adds to the rest of the song and flows so nicely
