Where are you now?
Dissapeared somewhere
You're just a subtle thought behind my mind, you stay right here
Dreamin' away

Am I someone remembered?, nothing you forgot
The words you once defended, now it's what you're not
All your cliches and used up novelties
We'll dust off the old pictures and see if you believe

On the bed inside my room the peace is gone
It will never be again, from the mantle you sit on

Am I someone remembered?, nothing you forgot
The words you once defended, now it's what you're not
All your cliches and used up novelties
We'll dust off the old pictures, lets see if you believe
Do you believe what you can see?

I gave up
There's nothing left to lose
There's nothing left to use of what I need from you

I gave up
There's nothing left to lose
There's nothing left to use of what I need from you

I gave up (I gave up)
There's nothing left to lose (nothing left to lose)
There's nothing left to use (nothing left) of what I need from you

You're gone for good
You're gone for good, yeah finally!
and no reason why (reason why!)
Our last goodbye, our last goodbye!

I'm gone for good
gone for good, yeah finally!
and no reason why (reason why!)
I hate me!

I gave up (I gave up)
There's nothing left to lose (nothing left to lose)
There's nothing left to use (nothing to use from you)

I gave up (I gave up)
There's nothing left to lose (nothing left to lose)
There's nothing left to use (nothing to use)
I gave up

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.
