"Lying from You" as written by Dave Farrell, Robert G. Bourdon, Mike Shinoda, Brad Delson, Chester Charles Bennington and Joseph Hahn....
When I pretend
Everything is what I want it to be
I look exactly like what you had always wanted to see
When I pretend
I can forget about the criminal I am
Stealing second after second just cause I know I can, but
I can't pretend this is the way it will stay, I'm just
Trying to bend the truth
I can't pretend I'm who you want me to be
So I'm
Lying my way from you

(No, no turning back now)
I want to be pushed aside
So let me go
(No, no turning back now)
Let me take back my life
I'd rather be all alone
(No turning back now)
Anywhere on my own
'Cause I can see
(No, no turning back now)
The very worst part of you
Is me

I remember what they taught to me
Remember condescending talk of who I ought to be
Remember listening to all of that and this again
So I pretended up a person who was fitting in
And now you think this person really is me and I'm
(trying to bend the truth)
But the more I push
The more I'm pulling away
'Cause I'm

Lying my way from you

(No, no turning back now)
I want to be pushed aside
So let me go
(No, no turning back now)
Let me take back my life
I'd rather be all alone
(No turning back now)
Anywhere on my own
'Cause I can see
(No, no turning back now)
The very worst part of you
The very worst part of you
Is me

This isn't what I wanted to be
I never thought that what I said
Would have you running from me
Like this

This isn't what I wanted to be
I never thought that what I said
Would have you running from me
Like this

This isn't what I wanted to be
I never thought that what I said
Would have you running from me
Like this

This isn't what I wanted to be
I never thought that what I said
Would have you running from me
Like this

You
(No turning back now)
I want to be pushed aside
So let me go
(No, no turning back now)
Let me take back my life
I'd rather be all alone
(No turning back now)
Anywhere on my own
'Cause I can see
(No, no turning back now)
The very worst part of you
The very worst part of you
Is me

General Commenti think that this is a great song with a great meaning. i think that this song is about someone who would do anything for this one person. they eventually went too far trying to please them, and they mention, also, that they believe that person is great- perfect, even- and the only bad thing about him/her/it, is them....
if that made sense to anyone..

My Opinioni think that somebody has pretend to someone who he is just to be like that another person want and try to be something he isn't and then he realized that he want be that person who he was before and then he is like "let me go, i wanna be pushed aside" and something like that...

My InterpretationI think this song means that someone would do anything for a specific person, even changing their personality, looks, the way they talk. They realized that in the process of trying to impress that specific person they had lost themselves. That someone was lying to that person about who they really are.

General CommentAs usual this is another really good Song. As Pushmeaway said, I think its about maybe a boyfriend talking about his girlfriend, how much he loved her and tired to make her happy, although it didnt always work. And I think it means that he lost her, maybe to someone else? or just lost her in general.

General CommentThis is another good Linkin Park song, then again, it's not unusual for Linkin Park to come out with really good songs. I didn't actually hear this song untill today, and the more I listen to it and think about the lyrics, the more I see how it applies to me and the situation I've found myself in with this girl at school. Pushmeaway and gregmarck are totally right as to what this song means.

General CommentUmm...i've listened to this song a lot of times, and i think Chester is saying "i want to be PUSHED aside" instead of "i want to be CLOSED inside" and also "trying to BEND the truth" instead of "trying to FILL the truth".

General Commenti think this song is about just having enough of doing everything for someone- changing yourself, etc. but then having enough of putting up with being someone else that you just want to be alone without that person

General Commentthis is a great song best on meteora i think i think is about someone who tries to fit in but the only way to do that is to change his personallity and hide who he trully is and he's saying all he really wants is to be alone and for someone to understand who he really is and like him for that
