All I ever wanted was to be at your service
But now I'm alone cause you were here and you're gone
And all I ever wanted was to feel I had a purpose
But now that's all gone
But if you could give me

Just one love, just one life
Just once chance to believe in my..
Just one love, just one life

You bleed for me and I didn't get to notice you
Now I'm stuck out on a line
Bleed for me, I didn't get to be with you
Now you're stuck in my mind

All I ever wanted was to be what you needed
Cause something so strong, it could never be wrong
And all I can promise, is to say what I'm feeling
We've made it so long
But if you could give me

Just one love, just one life
Just once chance to believe in my..
Just one love, just one life

You bleed for me and I didn't get to notice you
Now I'm stuck out on a line
Bleed for me, I didn't get to be with you
Now you're stuck in my mind

Just one love in my life

You bleed for me and I didn't get to notice you
Now I'm stuck out on a line
Bleed for me, I didn't get to be with you
Now you're stuck in my mind

Just one love in my life
Just one love in my life

I think this song is about a lost chance.

"You bleed for me And I didn't get to notice you Now I'm stuck out of line Bleed for me I didn't get to be with you Now you're stuck in my mind"

The guy didn't notice the girl until she was gone, and now she's stuck in his mind. He realizes that she's the one love in his life, and begs for a chance with her. "Oh won't you bleed for me?" is almost like asking "Oh won't you feel some pain for me?" (The interesting thing about blood is that it's what gives life.) But unfortunately, times have changed, and she doesn't feel the same. When he says he's "stuck out of line", he's reffering to his love. His love for her is out of line.

This song is a bit confusing/vague, and I never really could grasp meaning from it, but when I finally did, it just clicked. Events that happened in my life helped me to draw meaning, and that meaning helped me to understand my life as well. I love songs that do that.

I also think this song is about a lost chance or it could be about someone who was with someone and went through the motions of a relationship with them, while the other person gave there all in the relationship and when it all ended, they realized they were totally in love with the person and can't get them back.

I agree with Akari55! The guy regrets that he didnt notice the girl in the beginning and now that she's gone, he realizes he just lost his chance. But "stuck out of line" doesnt sound right...I think I hear a "high" in there but I cant figure it out. And ya its "dare to be with you" not get to be with you. toodles

I also think this is about a lost chance / missed opportunity that the singer regrets.

He was either in love someone and couldn't see that she liked him too. Or, he wasn't in love but when he found out later that she liked him and realized that maybe she was the one, it was too late.

Either way, the singer missed his chance and now this girl is stuck in his mind.

"Now I'm stuck out of line" basically means that it would be out of line for him to try to do anything with this girl now. She's gone and he needs to move on but can't.

This song aint that bad.. One of my favorites of Saliva, especially since I'm not to fond of them.. Ever since Hero I've been extremely sick of Josie Scott and Chad Kroeger.. "And they say that a hero can save us." Yea right..

are the lyrics completely right? smack me if im wrong, but isnt he saying "i didnt Dare to be with you"? as opposed to "get to be"? and also, "stuck out on the line"? well...whatever. to me this is about a guy who was totally infatuated with this girl, real heavy in love with her. but the girl wasnt really as into the relationship, so when she ended it, he was crushed. so i think what he's saying is why wont you bleed for me, i bled for you. metaphorically or literally. good song though.

Someone in Saliva must have had a harsh dumping by his girlfriend. That same idea is shown in other songs like "Always" and "Rest in Pieces."

i really don't know what this means to me, but I feel exactly like what the lyrics say. I feel deeply for someone, but the feeling isn't mutual 'cause they like someone else i guess. so yeah i felt really crushed and that's it.

Overall about difficult moments of disappointment and vulnerability. Having hope and longing, while remaining optimistic for the future. Encourages the belief that with each new morning there is a chance for things to improve. The chorus offers a glimmer of optimism and a chance at a resolution and redemption in the future. Captures the rollercoaster of emotions of feeling lost while loving someone who is not there for you, feeling let down and abandoned while waiting for a lover. Lost with no direction, "Now I'm up in the air with the rain in my hair, Nowhere to go, I can go anywhere" The bridge shows signs of longing and a plea for companionship. The Lyrics express a desire for authentic connection and the importance of Loving someone just as they are. "Just in passing, I'm not asking. That you be anyone but you”

No Surprises
Radiohead
Same ideas expressed in Fitter, Happier are expressed in this song. We're told to strive for some sort of ideal life, which includes getting a good job, being kind to everyone, finding a partner, getting married, having a couple kids, living in a quiet neighborhood in a nice big house, etc. But in Fitter, Happier the narrator(?) realizes that it's incredibly robotic to live this life. People are being used by those in power "like a pig in a cage on antibiotics"--being pacified with things like new phones and cool gadgets and houses while being sucked dry. On No Surprises, the narrator is realizing how this life is killing him slowly. In the video, his helmet is slowly filling up with water, drowning him. But he's so complacent with it. This is a good summary of the song. This boring, "perfect" life foisted upon us by some higher powers (not spiritual, but political, economic, etc. politicians and businessmen, perhaps) is not the way to live. But there is seemingly no way out but death. He'd rather die peacefully right now than live in this cage. While our lives are often shielded, we're in our own protective bubbles, or protective helmets like the one Thom wears, if we look a little harder we can see all the corruption, lies, manipulation, etc. that is going on in the world, often run by huge yet nearly invisible organizations, corporations, and 'leaders'. It's a very hopeless song because it reflects real life.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Ed Sheeran tells a story of unsuccessfully trying to feel “Amazing.” This track is about the being weighed down by emotional stress despite valiant attempts to find some positivity in the situation. This track was written by Ed Sheeran from the perspective of his friend. From the track, we see this person fall deeper into the negative thoughts and slide further down the path of mental torment with every lyric.
