"Little Argument with Myself" as written by and Mimi J. Parker George Alan Sparhawk....
I want to believe
I want to believe
I want to believe
I want to believe
Just keep counting the stars
Like someday you'll find out
Just how many there are
And we all can go home
'cause there's nothing as sad
As a man on his back
Counting stars
But, I want to believe
Yes, I want to believe

'cause there's nothing as sad
As a man on his back
Counting stars

General CommentI think this song is about God's promise to Abraham (Gen 15:5) while Abraham's wife Sarah was still infertile:

He took him outside and said, "Look up at the heavens and count the stars—if indeed you can count them." Then he said to him, "So shall your offspring be."

Of course, until the birthday of Isaac, I'm sure Abraham had his doubts.
