"Get Right" as written by Maurice Jordan, Jay W. Jenkins and Byron Keith Forest Ii....
I want for to lay down, I'm waiting 'till sundown
I'm searching the haystacks, water is sunshine, wait for the moment
The moment between us, the fire is made now, harder to touch
I wanted to get right
I wanted to get right
I wanted to get right with you
Bakers dozen parades, stand and debate
Out single file, nine in a row, swear if you must
Keeping your boots on, float with the now, hot to the touch
Concrete underground, cast out everyday, the dregs of society
Underbelly, inside of me, rejoice and follow thee
I wanted to get right
I wanted to get right
I wanted to get right with it, with you
With...you...
Yeah
I wanted to get right
I wanted to get right
I wanted to get right

General CommentInteresting interpretation, but definetely not correct. 'Get right' simply means to have sex. At the Ten Club store it says the shirt is 'Guaranteed to Hook-uh you up' ;)

    Pretty obvious.

General Commentthis is one of the underrated PJ songs... it's open to interpretation, but it could be about having a belly full of bees and wanting to do the right thing by them, or so to say "get right..." don't kill the bees!

General CommentThe first half of the song and the chorus leads me to believe it is about reconciling after an argument. As for the verses of the second half - holy crap - I think it's just venom or something.

General CommentI think the "out single file, nine in a row" part might be about the people that died at Rokslide

General CommentThe question seems to be what is "get right" and who is "you". Perhaps the song is about the blissful feeling after sex. Perhaps the song is about blissful unity with god/ocean/whatever. Or both at the same time "underbelly inside of me rejoice and follow thee". We are both mortal and divine at the same time.

I can't see a drugs reference perhaps that is just the smoker's idea of "getting right"?
