Now you say you love me
You cried the whole night through
Well, you can cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you

Now you say you're sorry
For being so untrue
Well, you can cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you

You drove me, nearly drove me
Out of my head
When you never shed a tear

Remember, I remember
All that you said
Told me love was through for being
Told me you were through with me

But now you say you love me
And just to prove you do
Come on and - cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you

Yeah, ooh-ooh-woo

You drove me, nearly drove me
Out of my head
When you never shed a tear

Remember, I remember
All that you said
Told me love was through for being
Told me you were through with me

But now you say you love me
And just to prove you do
Come on and - cry me a river
Cry me a river
I cried a river over you
I cried a river over you
I cried a river over you-hoo-oh!

General Commentthis song, to me, is a bit of revenge. but just mental, "i cried a river over you"... feel what i felt. and maybe even, do you see what you lost?
but perhaps, like most songs (especially writers like björk) it's never that simple.

General CommentI hate to break this to you, but this is not Björks song originally, this is actually, Ella Fitzgerald or something. And I think this song actually is as simple as it seems; some guy was unfaithful to a girl, and hur het a lot. And then, when he comes and wants her back she doesn't want anything to do with him, because he hurt her so much before.
