We won't forget, we won't forget

And soon you will forget what it was like
Before your brand new mind
But behave, and be brave

And of course this don't sound right
But I'll try to paint my better life
Yeah, we'll try to paint the rope whirl
And the tire swing
And the warm evenings
And mom washing the dishes
And my sister talking to the dog
And the sound of the combine in the distance

General Commentwell, the song is odd(but that is to be expected w/ grandaddy) but the title: Merced is a city near modesto (which is where they are from) ...i think anyways. (lovely CA, i'll never leave...hopefully).

General CommentI imagine this song to be a farewell poem to someone who is living for another town (Merced), painting a general picture full of classic Grandaddy nostalgia.. mom doing dishes, sister talking to dog.. i dont know how these guys do it but they always transport me to my own childhood.

I love you Jason. I a dude kind of way. Not that way. Not that there's anything wrong with that.
