"Begging" as written by and Peter/barat Doherty....
All animals we are
Round the bench in the park
Your sisters in the dark today
Watery pinned eyes
My soul has gone a little cold

Well, maybe maybe next year
If it isn't to dear
We'll get ourself some good time girls
Remember when you pay
You'll pay in many many ways
Now he's crossing the road
Picking up his daily sport

Oh now they're begging you
They're begging you
What will you do?
Oh my they're begging you
Your friend begging you
What can you do?

Have you heard the singer said
He's a dead ringer for
A feeling that I used to know
Hell she cries oh hell
No no it's a funny way to go
Now he's crossing the road
Picking up his daily sport

Oh now they're begging you
They're begging you
What will you do?
Oh lord they're begging you
Your friend begging you
What can you do?

General CommentI think this is one of the most underrated Libertines songs ever.

I haven't got a clear view of what the song is about, but I see it as someone who's made a lot of mistakes and screwed a lot of people over. He wants to leave everyone behind, but his friends are begging him to make the right decision and own up to what he has done. Or maybe it's just a bunch of lyrics thrown together. Any which way, I love this song :D

General CommentI love this song! especially the guitar tune at the beginning! Don't have much clue about the lyrics but I think the lyrics are about prostitutes. But I could be very wrong, and it could be about some ones fear of brocily.

General Commentmaybe I'm wrong, but isn't it Carl who sings this song? and apart from 'what katie did', don't they sing the songs they wrote the lyrics to? (as in, i think carl wrote and sang this)
