"Jonathon Fisk" as written by and Daniel Britt....
Not that you remember
Maybe you locked away
Maybe we will meet again some better day
Some better life

Jonathan Fisk speaks with his first
Can't let me walk home on my own
Just like a knife down on my life
So many ways to set me right

It's such a long way home
Ooh that's how the story goes

And it's
Atom bombs some bloody razors
Atom bombs and bloody razors
Jonathan Fisk says it's a sin but he don't think twice 'cause to hell
Religion don't mean a thing
Oooh just another way to be right wing

Just like a knife down on my life
So many ways to set it right
Oh it's how it goes
That's how the story goes

It's such a long way home
Ohoooh you're too old to understand

'Cause I just wanna go home now
I just wanna go home now
Jonathan right down on my life
So many ways to set me right
Oohhh long walk home
That's how the story goes
Jonathan Fisk always a risk
Tells me he counts my teeth every night
I wanna get all back now
I wanna get em alright

I wanna turn him around yah
Oooh turn him around
Oooh ooh turn him around

General CommentPitchfork: What about some of the songs. Who’s “Jonathan Fisk” based on? There seems to be some resentment there.

Britt: Just this guy who beat me up in middle school relentlessly. The kind of guy that would roll your house and shoe polish your driveway. You know, and make fun you of in the cafeteria, and try and harass you after school on the way home.

General Commentkind of sounds like an older guy, is beating up a younger one, to make him believe in the things he does...

General CommentThe lyrics are wrong. It's definitely not "Jonathon Fisk speaks with his first" it's "fist".
Also, "I wanna get him all back now" not "I wanna get all back now"

General CommentAlso, "atom bombs and BLUNT razors".

    From the Spoon site:

    JONATHON FISK

MAYBE YOU REMEMBER MAYBE YOU’RE LOCKED AWAY
MAYBE WE’LL MEET AGAIN SOME BETTER DAY SOME BETTER LIFE

MMMM JONATHON FISK SPEAKS WITH HIS FISTS
CAN’T LET ME WALK HOME ON MY OWN
AND JUST LIKE A KNIFE DOWN ON MY LIFE
SO MANY WAYS TO SET ME RIGHT

IT’S SUCH A LONG WAY HOME
    IT’S HOW THE STORY GOES
AND IT’S LIKE ATOM BOMBS AND BLUNT RAZORS
    ATOM BOMBS AND BLUNT RAZORS

JONATHON THEN SAYS IT’S A SIN
BUT HE DON’T THINK TWICE CAUSE TO HIM
    RELIGION DON’T MEAN A THING
IT’S JUST ANOTHER WAY TO BE RIGHT WING
JUST LIKE A KNIFE DOWN ON MY LIFE
SO MANY WAYS TO SET IT RIGHT
THAT’S HOW IT GOES THAT’S HOW THE STORY GOES

IT’S SUCH A LONG WAY HOME
    YOU’RE TOO OLD TO UNDERSTAND
CAUSE I JUST WANT TO GET HOME NOW
I JUST WANT TO GET HOME NOW

JONATHON’S RIGHT DOWN ON MY LIFE
SO MANY WAYS TO SET ME RIGHT
    ON THE LONG WALK HOME
    THAT’S HOW THE STORY GOES
AND JONATHON FISK ALWAYS A RISK
TELLS ME HE COUNTS MY TEETH EVERY NIGHT
I WANT TO GET THEM ALL BACK NOW
I WANT TO GET THEM ALL BACK
AND I WANT TO TURN HIM AROUND

General CommentJohnathan Fisk was a writer.
He wrote about satiric essays about reforms in Ireland.
This was all during English occupation. I think he was a priest, too.
His most famous work was A Modest Proposal. It was a satire saying that eating children would be the answer to the starving countries problems.
