we're being too honest. i push you to pull me. belittle my little attempts at growth. go on go on. head right down that headlight's stare. take my wind and blow it back at me. it's happened before. halo my middle a hoola hoop hug. squeeze to warm and ribs stab heart. hey god, i dare you to say it to my face. hey god, i'll pull you outta the sky and make you 14 again. you'll never say another word about blame. we bit lips. we saucer eyes. i can't shake the shapeless memories every time i read sassy. halo my middle a hoola hoop hug. squeeze to warm and ribs stab heart. now the taste of my teeth reminds me, have i called you today? yesterday i called you never.

General CommentIs this about getting a handjob? I'm listening to this for the 100th time and now "Halo my middle a hula hoop hug" sounds like the halo is the fingers in an O shapes giving a "hug" to his "middle" (penis (middle of the body?)). And "I push you to pull me", 'pull' is slang for jack off. "we bite lips, we saucer eyes" sounds like a sexual encounter, yup

General CommentLyrically, I have the same interpretation of "Planet Shhh" like I do several other Cap'n Jazz songs, which is probably ignorant of me, but whatever. As far as I know they were all in their late teens and/or early twenties when they recorded this. I think a lot of their songs reflect a nostalgia for the innocence of youth and insecurities about growing up. To me, memory is an artform and with these somewhat abstract lyrics (of which, many reflect tonguetwisting nursery rhymes) comes interpretations of these memories. This song in particular with the line "I can't shake the shapeless memories every time I read sassy." Overall I think this song might be about a belittled teenager, maybe as a result of strict parenting? But maybe that strict parenting is justified because the teenager is misbehaving? Just some thoughts

General Comment@mattmatumbo- I think it has something to do with a ignorant ego-filled person in his life. He is making a reference of God to compare the two since this person acts like they are God.
