Up and died (up and died!)
You up and died on me
I can't believe you actually died

I haven't cried (he hasn't cried!)
It hasn't rained on me because
I can't believe you actually died

I haven't tried (he hasn't tried!)
Because you're not dead you're free
I can't believe you actually died!

And I know that you're happy there
Even though I don't know where
The other side (the other side!)
The side I tried to see
I can't believe you're on that side (you actually died!)

Your body's gone (your body's gone!)
But your ghost haunts me
I can't believe you actually died

At your grandma's church (the funeral!)
I held a baby
I can't believe you actually died
I can't believe that you actually died
I can't believe that you made your parents cry (you actually died!)
I can't believe you actually died
I can't believe you actually died
I can't believe you actually died
I can't believe you actually died
I can't believe you actually died
I can't believe you actually died

General CommentThe part that says "At your gandma's church I held a baby.", that suggests the cycle of life? Hmm....

General CommentI love this song, though it's really difficult for me to listen to it. I first heard it in august, when I knew my father was dying. He died that November, and I'm still having difficulty believing it.
    I haven't cried either.

General CommentI have never heard the song. I just read the lyrics, quite true, phil. Shayf died 8 years ago today.

quote SLD Potato: "The part that says "At your gandma's church I held a baby.", that suggests the cycle of life? Hmm...." No, well maybe, he really did hold a baby at the church, at the funeral, it was his first loves' baby. I was there.
    Dog bless.
