Through the door,
Slow music in my ears,
Spot you standing alone,
Put aside all my fears,
Walked up to you and asked,
If you'd like to dance,
Waited for an answer,
Hoping I had a chance.

Arms wrapped around you,
Wishing this forever,
Nothing I'd rather do,
This couldn't get any better.

Took my hand,
And led me to the floor,
Put your arms around me,
Felt my heart soar,
Looking into your eyes,
Making slow turns,
Nothing else matters,
Forgot all concerns.

Arms wrapped around you,
Wishing this forever,
Nothing I'd rather do,
This couldn't get any better.

The music stops,
It now time to part,
Really wish it wasn't,
It's breaking my heart,
As you walk away,
I take one last glance,
I will always remember,
Remember that dance.

It's another pretty good song. Nice and neat. Every one has that time in their life that they wish could last forever and ever, like a song on repeat or a broken record. Some things get etched in your mind and you will never forget them, that being said, take a gander at something I wrote:

on a lighter note..."i'll stay strong, through the tears and the darkness I'LL STAY STRONG" [08 Sep 2002|10:45am] [ mood | anxious ] [ music | Diecast - Disrepair ]

That Much More Lack of devotion. Drowning in emotion. But I don't mind. I'm only wanting to call you mine. Think about you. All the time. Holding is what I wanna do. Complete my life.

Just not able to communicate. Tonight I'll try my best. I'll try to wash away everyting you hate. Always kept in my heart, enclosed in my chest.

Tenish. Right now I have one wish. I send you this kiss. I tried, took a lot of my best. Now happiness radiates from me: north, south, east, and west. One word made me love life that much more. Lifted my spirits right up off that floor. I can't stop thinking about you. ...reached into that darkness and pulled me back through.

Silent Planet
I think much like another song “Anti-Matter” (that's also on the same album as this song), this one is also is inspired by a horrifying van crash the band experienced on Nov 3, 2022. This, much like the other track, sounds like it's an extension what they shared while huddled in the wreckage, as they helped frontman Garrett Russell stem the bleeding from his head wound while he was under the temporary effects of a concussion. The track speaks of where the mind goes at the most desperate & desolate of times, when it just about slips away to all but disconnect itself, and the aftermath.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,

When We Were Young
Blink-182
This is a sequel to 2001's "Reckless Abandon", and features the band looking back on their clumsy youth fondly.

Just A Little Lovin'
Dusty Springfield
I don't think it's necessarily about sex. It's about wanting to start the day with some love and affection. Maybe a warm cuddle. I'm not alone in interpreting it that way! For example: "'Just a Little Lovin’ is a timeless country song originally recorded by Eddy Arnold in 1954. The song, written by Eddie Miller and Jimmy Campbell, explores the delicate nuances of love and showcases Arnold’s emotive vocals. It delves into the universal theme of love and how even the smallest gesture of affection can have a profound impact on our lives." https://oldtimemusic.com/the-meaning-behind-the-song-just-a-little-lovin-by-eddy-arnold/

Punchline
Ed Sheeran
Ed Sheeran sings about missing his former partner and learning important life lessons in the process on “Punchline.” This track tells a story of battling to get rid of emotions for a former lover, whom he now realized might not have loved him the same way. He’s now caught between accepting that fact and learning life lessons from it and going back to beg her for another chance.
