Stuck on you
Got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can't lose
Guess I'm on my way
I needed a friend
And the way I feel now, I guess I'll be with you 'til the end
Guess I'm on my way
Mighty glad you stayed

Stuck on you
I been a fool too long, I guess it's time for me to come on home
Guess I'm on my way, whoa, oh
So hard to see
That a woman like you could wait around for a man like me
Guess I'm on my way
I'm mighty glad you stayed, oh (mighty glad you stayed)
(Mighty, mighty) Mighty glad

Oh, I'm leaving on that midnight train tomorrow
And I know just where I'm going now
I've packed up my troubles and I've thrown them all away
Oh yeah
'Cause this time, little darling
I'm coming home to stay

I'm stuck on you (stuck on yo)
I've got this feeling down deep in my soul that I just can't lose (I've got a feeling)
Guess I'm on my way, oh yeah
I needed a friend
And the way I feel now, I guess I'll be with you 'til the end
Guess I'm on my way
I'm mighty glad you stayed (mighty glad you stayed, mighty)
I'm mighty glad you stayed
Mighty glad you stayed

Mighty glad you came around Darius

What's with me and the 80s? Apparently I love cheese, I do I do. Seriously this is a great gosh darn song. It's just heartfelt and sweet. This person was a real jerk and realizes how much they actually love someone and feels lucky they waited for them.

Light Up The Sky
Van Halen
The song lyrics were written by the band Van Halen, as they were asked to write a song for the 1979 movie "Over the Edge" starring Matt Dillon. The movie (and the lyrics, although more obliquely) are about bored, rebellious youth with nothing better to do than get into trouble. If you see the movie, these lyrics will make more sense. It's a great movie if you grew up in the 70s/80s you'll definitely remember some of these characters from your own life. Fun fact, after writing the song, Van Halen decided not to let the movie use it.

Gentle Hour
Yo La Tengo
This song was originally written by a guy called Peter Gutteridge. He was one of the founders of the "Dunedin Sound" a musical scene in the south of New Zealand in the early 80s. From there it was covered by "The Clean" one of the early bands of that scene (he had originally been a member of in it's early days, writing a couple of their best early songs). The Dunedin sound, and the Clean became popular on american college radio in the mid to late 80s. I guess Yo La Tengo heard that version. Great version of a great song,
