My Evaline
Say you'll be mine
Won't you come and let me whisper in your ear?

Way down yonder in the old corn fields
For you I pine

Sweeter than the honey to the honey bee
I love you
Say you love me

Meet me in the shed
Of the old apple tree

General Commentin 1993 teh guys of weezer got a vocal coach to help everyone in the band pull of the harmonies of rivers. 'my evaline' was one of the songs they practiced during teh recording of suzanne and mykel and carli. it originally appeared on the australian singled of 'undone' under the name 'my adeline'

General Commentthe lyrics in the line are actually supposed to read "meet me in the shade" not only is this correct, but it also makes more sense.
