I know you think no one knows you, but you don't know
You think you've got nowhere to go, your not alone
I know they just won't let you be, they push and pray
Don't run away

You can't be anyone else, you've got to be yourself
You can do so much more than survive

There's something your so afraid of, you refuse to see
If you caught a glimpse of what your made of, you would be free
I know you know

You can't be anyone else, you've got to be yourself
You can do so much more than survive, try living alive

You can't be anyone else, you've got to be yourself
You can't be anyone else, you've got to be yourself
There's only one you for all time, trying living alive
Alive, Alive

General Commenti have always seen this song as someone who is depressed with low self esteem and who maybe is suicidal, and trying to get that person to see reasons to live and be happy...for me it is a very reassuring and uplifting

General CommentThis song is an out there, down right fabulous gay anthem, no way around it. God bless you Anthony Rapp for writing it. It's a wicked inspiring song, ESPECIALLY for those in the closet.
